You awoke to the sweet smell of cookies and roses. Surveying your surroundings you saw that you were in a hospital bed. You lifted up your shirt to reveal that you had bandages on.
F/N: "Damn, what happened and more importantly what did I do."
You look to your left and see that Ruby is sitting in a chair next to you with cookie crumbs all over her mouth. Next to her on the bedstand was a vase full of roses with a get well card next to it with the signatures of everyone who was there during the initiation even Akira wrote his name on it.
F/N: "How long has she been here?"
You get out of the bed putting on your jacket, black T-shirt and shoes. You lightly tap Ruby on the shoulder to wake her up and she begins to stir.
Ruby: "mmmm... cookies..."
F/N: "Yo Firecracker."
Ruby begins to rub her eyes as she is now fully awake.
Ruby: "Huh? Wait F/N you're awake!?"
She then pulls you in for a hug which admittedly hurt a little bit but you didn't mind.
F/N: "(Twists hair) Yea to be honest everything is kind of a blur, how long have I been out."
Ruby: "(Looking down) Most of the day after that whole you turning into that fire monster thing. After you got knocked out by Akira we ran into another Nevermore and took it out I wish you could've seen it Yang was like POW POW and I was like SWOOSH."
You look down as you start to slowly remember what happened and the terrified looks on your friends' faces.

You walk over to the stammering girl and give her a hug and she is considerably shocked by this.
F/N: "Thanks."
Ruby: "F-For what?"
F/N: "For not being afraid of me... for not running away..."
Ruby: "F/N..."
You two then break the hug as the both of you start to blush a little. Admittedly you did find the young huntress cute, and you couldn't help but feel protective of her.
F/N: 'Am I.... falling for her?'
Ruby: "(Blushes) Almost forgot Ozpin wanted to see you before he announces the teams later tonight."
F/N: "Yea he's probably got a ton of questions well I guess I should get going." You start to walk out the door when Ruby calls out to you.
