Late Night Training

After the exhausting event that was yesterday you and the rest of your team decided to hit the hay as you were all tired from passing the initiation. Well everyone was tired save for you who had slept for most of the day after your "episode." You couldn't help but stay up for most of the night as you kept replaying what Ozpin had told you about Gears and their origins.

F/N: "Damnit, at this rate I won't get any sleep for the night."

You decide to sneak your way out of your room to go train since you figured that laying in bed all night wasn't the answer. tiptoeing through your room you go by each of your teammates' beds. Luna, of course, was sleeping peacefully under her covers and slept as if she didn't have a care in the world. Akira had a stack of books next to him on his bedstand many of them being about philosophy and morality. Millia was on top of her covers constantly tossing and turning and muttering about gambling at least that's what you think it is. You open the door and close it behind you only to see Ruby across from you opening hers and walking out wearing pajamas that had bunnies all over them.

Ruby: "(Yawn) Oh hey F/N what are you doing up so late?"

F/N: "I could ask you the same question."

Ruby: "Just getting a late-night snack."

F/N: "Lemme guess milk and cookies."

Ruby: "(Pouts) Warm milk and cookies."

F/N: "Same thing."

Ruby:"(Rubbing her eyes) You still didn't answer my question."

F/N: "I'm Just gonna go train for a bit"

Ruby: "Isn't a little late for that?"

F/N: "Nah, you know what they say you can never train too much."

Ruby: "Well If that's the case mind if I join you?"

F/N: "Not at all wanna meet out front in five?"

Ruby: "Heck yea I do! (Talks faster and faster) Oh, this will be the perfect opportunity for me to learn some new fighting styles and to see what F/N's weapon second mode looks like!"

Eventually, Ruby's rambling gets harder to understand as her talking becomes so fast to the point where all you can make out are bits and pieces.

F/N: '(Sighs) I guess that's my cue.'

You then leave Ruby to her vices as you go outside to start training.

Ten Minutes Later

Ruby finally comes outside after about ten minutes. You, on the other hand, had already started training and was already working up a sweat so you took your jacket and shirt off since you didn't want to get them soaked in sweat.

Ruby: "(Blushes) W-Wow ummmm."

You then notice that Ruby was giving you a pretty long stare as she was staring at your body which was pretty toned but also covered in scars, which was mostly a result of Baiken's training, which was arguably harder than dad's.

F/N: "(Laughs) What you see something you like?"

Ruby: "N-No, I-I mean yes WAIT I DIDN"T MEAN IT LIKE THAT..."

F/N: "Calm down Firecracker I'm just teasing you."

Ruby: "(Pouts) Well it wasn't very funny... I like the new headband by the way it looks really cool."

F/N: "Thanks I figured I need to add a little something to my outfit."

Getting your towel from a nearby tree branch you wipe your face and turn to face Ruby.
