The evening came slowly, the hours creeping by steadily as the two (some more aware of it than others) supernatural beings spent their time in the cabin. Matthew spent most of this time observing Frank, finding him more and more interesting with every little thing that the man did.

Frank was... Strange. (And that was putting it lightly.)
He walked like any other person, but his shoulders never hunched. Even when the man would sit down, he either laid back or sat up straight. (A/N I know, I didn't think it was possible either 0-0). Frank also made that growling noise quite often, some of them more meaningful than others. Frank also seemed extraordinarily buff, going by how Matt could almost hear the man's muscles bulge whenever he stretched. Of course, Matt wasn't checking him out or anything! Why would he do such a thing? He's just... Curious... Yeah, that's all it was, just his curiosity.

"Move." Frank's gruff voice suddenly rasps, pulling Matt from his thoughts. The man's hand nudges the blind man's thigh with its knuckles so he would scoot over. Matt tenses at the touch for a second, but nonetheless moves over for the man. Frank drops onto the couch, the cushions giving out a small squeak. Matt tried not to wince at the high-pitched noise, but he figures he must've hidden it pretty terribly considering the fact that Frank's head turns to look at him, with what Matt thinks, is a raised eyebrow. Matt shifts uncomfortably. "Out of all the spots he could've chosen to sit down, he picked this one?! What the fuck?!" He internally screeches.

Frank still hasn't taken his eyes off of Matt, his silent gaze making the hairs on the back of Matt's neck rise. "Just because I'm blind doesn't mean I can't feel you staring at me, Frank." Matt says, smirking slightly at the way the man's heartbeat jumped for a split second.

"Sorry.."

"Do you have something you wanna ask me?"

Frank gives him an affirmative grunt. "Uh, how'd ya get out there? In the forest I mean.. We don't get many strangers 'round these parts." Frank questions, his voice resembling something close to a tired grumble. With a hitch of his breath, Matthew stills.  "I..." he starts, his voice choked. Matt's sightless eyes well up with tears as a wave of sudden realization smacks him in the face, his heart beats sporadically from within his chest. "Was with... W-With my friends..." Matt swallows thickly, and breathing becomes increasingly difficult. "O-Oh my God..." The vamp's hands shake as he raises them to cover his mouth, a broken wail escaping him. A hand plops down onto his shoulder, giving it a firm squeeze. "Easy," Frank says, his voice low. "Take a breath, and tell me. Are your friends okay?"

Frank already knows the answer, but the vamp needs to say it. The vamp needs to hear it in his very own voice... In his own words...

"T-They're dead..."

The redhead would've toppled over if not for Frank's hand, his body shaking an shuddering as he broke down. As he fell apart.

Frank doesn't say anything, he doesn't tense at the answer, and the strange man doesn't stare at the back of Matthew's head... But, Frank does, however, tighten his grasp on the man's shoulder... He does pull Matt upright, and he most certainly does pull the wailing man to his chest. Frank moves his arms around the blind man, not giving a single thought about how dangerous what he was doing is... How fucking stupid he was being by exposing himself to a vampire's fangs... How goddamn dumb he was for letting this vampire get this close to him in the first place... Instead, the werewolf just thinks  " I get it... I really, really get it.."
