That night...

Dylan was having a nightmare and he was so restless. He dreamed about those first years he began to live in the forest. Being alone in a deserted island with only a suitcase as his ransom. A small suitcase with him, with no name and no other clues where he might be coming from.

He didn't know who he was, and he just found a brand name of his clothes and the number of 8 on it. So that's what he used for his name and age.

as simple as that...

He remembered that he woke up on the sand, with pain all over his body, from the sunburning and whatever that was. He saw a lot of scars and bruised on his body and that hurts.

So much it hurts.

but then, the most painful thing he felt was...

He was alone and didn't remember at all about his life before. It seemed that he was brought to the shore by the seawater.

But from where?

Did he came from a boat? Or a ship? Or what else?

Did his parents try to find him? for all these years? If yes, why didn't they find him already?

Or...

Did his parents abandon him in this island, alone?

But what kind of parents did that? Abandoning their child alone on a deserted island?

He remembered he was so afraid that time. Being alone, accompanied by the sounds of wolves at night.

He didn't know what to do.

He just knew that he had to survive.

Fortunately for him, that time he met with Pipi's family. A gorilla's family. They might just an animal family, but they treat him like their friend.

It's... weird... right?

But it's not. Honestly, it's not.

Years by years passing by. He and Pipi began to grow into an adult. For a gorilla, if he already became an adult, he had to leave his family and lives by his own.

He began to build a larger hut for him. And his friend, Pipi kept on visiting him to play together.

And that was his life every day before he met her.

The tiny girl, Yue.

And here he was, sleeping beside her, but he had a nightmare. The memories of those times kept on coming that night. He moved a lot, and accidentally woke her up.

He's still holding her hands, so she could feel that he was so restless.

"Dylan... Dylan... wake up... what happened?" She patted his arms to wake him up, and he finally woke up, suddenly opened his eyes widely, and panted for breath.

"Dylan...?" She asked again as she tried to get his attention.

Taking a deep breath, he finally turned to her. "I... I think I had a bad dream."

"Bad dream?" She took his hand and clasped it in hers. "About what?"

"About the past. Those times when I just arrived here, without memories and only with one small suitcase with me."

"I see... It's so scary, yeah? I can't imagine your feeling at that time. As a child, alone on this island. Without nobody accompany you."

He smiled, "You also must be so scared when you arrived here, right?"

She unconsciously squeezed his hand, the memories of the accident began to fill her mind again. She closed her eyes tightly as she shook her head, as her effort to throw away those memories. "I was. So scared." Then she opened her eyes and looked straight into his eyes. "But... at least I have you. So I am not alone. Thank you, Dylan."
