"But I don't"

She told him firmly as she held her gaze into the deep of his eyes.

A sudden loud sound of thunder around them surprised him less than the words Yue said before.

His eyes wide opened and his face fells...

"Wh... what?" He stammered. "What did you say?" He asked her again to make sure the words he heard before was right.

"I don't." She said again, more firmly this time as she tried to convince him again. "I don't love you."

Silence...

Rain poured hard as the lightning bolts flashed at the outside of the hut.

He just stood up there, rooting on his place, as he observed her carefully. He looked into her eyes as he searched for lies, but none. He couldn't see any lies. It means that she told him the truth, or she was indeed a great liar.

But knowing her, she's not a liar.

His heart clenched...

"Yue... I..."

She raised her fingers to his lips and shushed him, "I am sorry, Dylan. All of this is my fault. I made you confused between affection and love. I am sorry. As I told you before, it was wrong. It's only affection. This isn't love. I kiss you like that, it was wrong. So wrong."

And again, silence engulfed them in the dark. Dylan just kept silence as he tried to digest her words.

He took a deep breath before asking. "Is it... because it's me?" He warily asked, afraid of her answer. "All of these were wrong because it was with me?"

"What should I do, Yue?" He said frustratedly, his eyes looked hurt. She could see that he was so confused. Confused about everything. But she also could see that he really wanted to make her happy and he was willing to do anything for her. He even ran towards her hut in the middle of the heavy rain, only to make sure that her hut wouldn't fell because of the wind and the rain.

So she just stood there as she looked towards him and saw his wounded eyes, then his sad face. And her heart couldn't take it.

She couldn't hold it anymore. She ran towards him, and immediately clung her hands around his neck, pulling him to her and kissed him intimately as she poured all of her restrained desire before, slowly but sure, capturing his lips with her own.
