"Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey!" I groaned at Mrs. Southalls' loud voice and pulled my fluffy blanket over my head. It didn't do much to keep the sound of her voice and the pots and pans she was banging at bay.

"I hate that woman." Hannah grumbled from across the room and I humphed in reply. Mrs. Southall was our floor master. As responsible high school students we were supposed to be able to wake ourselves up and get to classes on time, but Mrs. Southall was convinced we needed help adjusting so she would help by waking us up way to early every morning. Not calmly, no as loud as possible with her little pots and pans and annoying voice that rang throughout the whole dorm. Even the seniors on the second floor complained about her and they were two floors below us.

Despite Mrs. Southalls evil waking methods the woman had grown on me in the past week. When we had floor meetings she kept them short and when I needed an urgent load of laundry she let me use her washer and dryer. Luckily, today's Friday so the waking up will come to an end because she said she was only going to do it the first week.

"Get up loser or she'll come back." An object hit my head and I growled in the direction of Hannah's voice.

The food at Radar Academy is definitely more than mediocre. This morning I stuffed my face with three chocolate chip muffins and I'm no breakfast person. In fact at home I would skip breakfast so often I'm not used to food in the mornings.

"Hey girly pops!" Nella spoke up as she sat down at the table. I tried to smile in response, but it ended up with chocolate and pancake spilling out of my mouth.

"Ew, disgusting Keira." Evie slammed her tray down across from me and sat next to Nella. I knew right away a rant was coming because of the scowl on Evies face as she took an aggresive bite of pancake. I glanced at Hannah who smirked and mouthed

Three.

Two.

One.

"My god!" Evie burst out of nowhere and I bit my lip from laughing as Hannah winked at me. "Can I just say what a nerve that Chase Matthews has, or even better yet that hoe of the day sitting on his lap. Does she have any dignity?" Evie stabbed her pancake repeatedly and I rolled my eyes.

"I think someones jealoussss." Hannah spoke in the highest pitched voice I've ever heard. At this Evie turned her attention to Hannah and it looked like she wanted to stab Hannah with the fork.

"Anyway, " Nella spoke up breaking through the tension. "what's for lunch?" I groaned at the thought of more food and Evie continued stabbing her pancake.

Unlike public schools or often read about stereotypical high schools, Radar Academy wasn't a place for students or teachers to slack off. Teachers never fell asleep during class and there was never an opportunity to sneak a phone. Then again Radar does have a reputation to hold up.

English class was always interesting, I mean anything with Evie and Chase in such close proximity would be interesting. Our teacher, Mr. Plum full heartedly believed in having an open discussion floor plan which led to us sitting at desks in a circle so we could discuss the newest short story we were reading. He loved it when we shared our opinions; more specifically when Evie and Chase would share their very different opinions and it would end with them barring their teeth at each other. Yup, that was yesterday.

"Let's have a peaceful class Evie." She glared at me and sauntered past me into the room completely cutting me off. In my defense I was trying to keep a safe environment for our class.

"So tell me class, what are your thoughts of Beetles' restricting mindset on not off by Evie.

"I think that Beetles had no right to boss Josephine around or try to control her. She's an independent woman and he needs to learn this and that it's the twenty first century."
