Why?

Why I asked my parents

Why do I have to get married?

Why do I have to get married to him?

Why him?

Why me?

Just Why?

The noises around me just faded into the background. I look up around me to see my family smiling and laughing with his family. He's been looking down at his plate, tossing his food around with his chopsticks.

The one and only, Kim Yohan.

The young, handsome, athletic, and sexy idol. Did I mention he's my husband?

No? Let me clarify a few things. My father is the CEO of OUI Entertainment, and my father was so proud when Yohan came in 1st for Produce 101, he thought of this brilliant idea of marrying off his daughter to someone she doesn't even know. Well if I put it that way, then it sounds really bad, but I know my Dad just loves me. My father has cancer and has little over a year to live. I'm the oldest in the family and he wants me to carry out my families legacy, but I can't really do so without a husband to support me.

I just turned 20, And I know I will be the future of OUI Entertainment.

I remember after school hours, I would go straight to my fathers work, greeting everyone there. The company isnt super big, but we hope to expand one day.

And that's where I met him. Yohan. We're actually really good friends. He is probably the sweetest guys out there, but I've never seen him as something more. My family always teased us being a couple, but we would just laugh it off.

Yohan then entered Produce 101 along with another trainee from our company. Of course, I was rooting for him the whole time. And when he came back from the competition, both our parents told us the news.

Our marriage is real, documents signed and everything, but we both know that our relationship is just for show. Everything you see is fake. We pretend like we're perfect but in reality, we're just two young adults, trying to make our families happy.

"Yohan! Why don't you and Hana go into the living room, the adults need to talk" Yohan's mother says

We both get up, bow and leave. We sat in the living room, trying to listen to what our parents were saying but we couldn't hear a thing.

"It's no use, we can't hear them," I say in frustration

"Oh well, at least we got each other," He says putting an arm around me. I look at his fingers to see his wedding rings and look at mine.

"How are we actually okay with this and not going crazy about the fact that we're married" I say

"Well because we're trying to make our families happy and we aren't strangers to each other. I actually like talking to you"

"You should've seen the last guy that my dad tried to set me up with, he was almost 10 years older than me" I complain

"Was he good looking?" Yohan asks

"I'm not answering that" I laugh

"Am I good looking?" He asks

"Is that a trick question?"

"No, come on now answer your husband" he smirks at me

"Yes, you are very handsome" I say

"Awwww my wife thinks I'm handsome"

"Stop with the use of 'husband' and 'wife', makes me actually believe that you enjoy being married to me" I say

"Get used to it, we're going to be together forever and ever" he says
