Chapter 14: Camping trip part whatever

Len's POV

~~Time skip~~
After the girls returned we were called to the middle of the field for further instructions. We sat in our Form classes and once we were all in our correct lines Mr Barry hushed the children.

"So, children, we are going to do some activities. We will be split in four groups, Two of the groups will play capture the flag deep in the forest and the rest will do some insect capturing and field work."

After his long explanation, our group were going to play capture the flag. We had to split in another group of two to make the teams mixed. The game was simple, yet complicated. [A/N] Search up how to play the game or just keep on reading cause I can't be bothered to write them out) My team had to wear red bibs and the opposite team had to wear a neon yellow looking one.

"Len, Len!" A familiar voice called. It was Neru's. I smile,

"Hello Neru, I see we're in the same team huh? That's cool." I say kinda bluntly. I look at the other team, which we're in a line. I see (Y/N) standing with her friends. I didn't realise that I was gazing at her for long until Mr Baldi came over to our team.

"So you guys are going to protect the flag, you need people staying near the flag and you need people that take the captured opponents to the prison, which you need to discuss among yourselves where you're going to put the prison. And of course you need people that will chase the opposite team and give them to the people that look after the prison. Is that understood?" ([A/N] did I just explain the rules anyway? Agh idk) we all nodded and looked at Mr Barry that was explaining the rules to the opposite team.
So we have this flag that we must protect from the opposite team, and the opposite team have to take the flag. So we have a base and we have to hide the flag somewhere and since the opposite team need to take the flag to their base we must go and chase them, if we touch them they are automatically captured so we have to take them to prison. However if we get tagged by them, then we just have to stand still until someone from our team touches us, so we automatically get released, this seems like a fun game! ([A/N] Goshdarn it I explained it anyway, if I explained the rules wrong then these are the new rules for that game,)

Both teams walked in the forest, the forest was slanted so the further we went, the higher the land was. The protecting team had to go to the higher land and the catching team had to go at the bottom.

I walked with my team to the top of the forest. Once we all reached the place we wanted to hide the flag we formed a circle. Our captain was telling us what to do. I had to be one of the ones that chased people, which was fine since I run really fast. We hid the flag (which was actually a bright orange cone) under a small tree quite far away from the opponents base.

We got out of the hiding spot and stood at the place we were at before. We looked down at the other team, which were looking at us as well, some were glaring at us and some were giggling.

"So children, once I blow the whistle the game will start. Remember the rules and I don't want to see anyone cheating, now, three... two... and..." Mr Baldi blew the whistle. All of a sudden majority of the opposite team hid behind trees and some cane charging at other people. Instead of going output and chasing everyone like a crazy bull, I decided to hide behind a tree, in case anyone decided to make their way there.

I stood behind a big tree and peeked my head out a bit. I looked the other direction to see people taking the other team to prison already. All of a sudden I heard a snap to in the other direction, I quickly turn my head towards the sound and saw (Y/n) frozen with her hands up as if she was going to get arrested.

"O-oh Len- heh- don't catch me I-" she sprinted to the other direction. I ran after her, not running at my full speed just to save energy. She was running further away from where the game was, but I followed. I must capture her and take her to the prison. I kept on saying that in my head.

(Y/n) turned her head around to face me, then giggled and turned back. I could tell that she was getting tired cause of how slow she was getting. I started to sprint towards her. She turned to the right and so did I. A huge log was in the way,

"(Y/n)! Watch out-" (Y/n) accidentally tripped over the log and because of my speed I tripped over too, landing on top of her.

I groaned and pushed my self up. I opened my eyes and saw (Y/n) Lying there in front of me. I gazed into her eyes, lost in thought until she spoke.

"Uhh- Len? C-can you get off? You're kinda... heavy..." I blushed and nodded, I tried to get up but my foot was tangled in random vines and I couldn't up.

"Sorry (Y/n), my foot is tangled with vines and I can't really get up..." (Y/n) sighed and looked back into my eyes. Her eyes were sparkling, they were really beautiful.

"Then should I call for help?" She said quietly. I nodded my head. "Mr Barry! Mr Baldi!" She called out. It was kind of quiet but they should still hear her. I sighed and looked to the side.

A few short minutes later Mr Baldi came running to us.

"Oh deary me! What happened here? Are you guys alright?" He ran off to get another teacher and even scissors to cut the vines wrapped around my leg.
