Remi Leverett piled her hair on the top of her head before securing the messy bun with bobby pins. She gave herself a once over before making her way to the dresser in the corner of the room and retrieving a cardigan. She made her way to the bunker's kitchen, her jeans swishing together. The hallways were silent, and Remi knew that Dean was already outside loading up the Impala, preparing for his hunt.
Once in the kitchen she began brewing coffee before starting breakfast. She knew Dean would need the energy. It was only 5:30 in the morning, and after living with the man for nearly ten years she had grown accustomed to him not being a morning person.
She grabbed the package of bacon from the fridge while she heated a skillet. Once it was warm enough she put it in, the meat sizzling as it met the hot surface. While the bacon cooked she set the table, setting out an extra plate. She knew that Cas and Jack would be up soon enough, and although the angel did not eat, she knew that the younger man would be all too hungry for the deliciousness that Dean had only recently introduced him to.
Just as Remi set out silverware, she heard the heavy bunker door open and close as boots stomped down the metal stairway. They faded slightly as they met the concrete floor before finally making their way to the kitchen. Remi had returned to the stove, flipping the bacon over, and she felt strong arms wrap around her from behind as a warm chest pressed against her back. She smiled and closed her eyes, melting into the form before Dean leaned to the side, placing a gentle kiss on her temple.
"Good morning, baby," Dean whispered in her ear, his gravelly voice low. "How'd my girl sleep?" Remi felt a blush creep up her neck and to her cheeks at the thought of the night before....
She and Dean had gone to a club to keep tabs on one of the suspects connected to the hunt Dean was getting ready for. Dean had gone to the back to scope out the surroundings while Remi made her way to the bar, closer to the suspect, who sat only two stools to her right. She had ordered herself a beer before turning around, searching for Dean. She scanned the club, squinting her eyes against the colored lights strobing the entire place. Not seeing him, she turned back around but not before she caught the glance of a tall man standing casually in the corner. His eyes locked onto hers, and he sent her a devilish smirk. Remi gave him a tight-lipped smile in return before turning her attention to the beer in front of her.
She could see the suspect in the mirror behind the bar, nursing his whiskey. She took her eyes away from the man, taking a sip of her own drink. She inwardly groaned as she glanced in the mirror once more. The tall man from the corner was making his way over to her.
Remi sighed heavily as he settled down beside her. She sat up straighter, her eyes never leaving her bottle. Maybe if she ignored him, he would take the hint and leave her alone.
"Hey, beautiful. Saw you over here looking lonely. Thought maybe you could use a little company," the man said, his deep voice low and sultry.
"Well, shit," Remi thought to herself. She turned to the man beside her, her movements rigid. He was handsome she had to admit, his dark hair quiffed, and his blue eyes glowing seductively. However, she was not interested not only because she had Dean, but because she had a case that was far more pressing than trying to get rid of some cocky son of a bitch.
Remi gave him another thin-lipped smile as she shook her head. "Nope, not lonely. Thanks for the offer, though," she said stiffly before turning back to her drink.
"Oh, come one, beautiful," the man replied, his voice still low. "Can't a guy catch a break?" he chuckled. He placed his large hand on her thigh, his clammy skin sending a shiver of disgust down her spine. She turned a shocked expression his way, her blood beginning to boil at his forwardness.
