"Uh, well, you know about the new ruler of Huaco Mundo...?"
Rukia facepalmed. "Don't tell me you challenged him."
Ichigo looked offended. "Excuse me?" he said dramatically. "I do not go around challenging people for thrones. Well, I guess, technically, I did-"
Rukia glared at him.
"Ok, ok, so I trained in Huako Mundo, then I killed Aizen because he's a jerkface and I wanted to see how strong I had gotten, and since he was the unofficial official ruler, I kinda inherited the position? So I used it to close off Huako Mundo from the human world so that innocent people wouldn't get their souls eaten, and it was working really well until that slimy son of a slipper came along-"
Rukia cut him off. "So if you're a King, what're you doing here?!"
"...Escaping my royal duties...?"
"Well actually, I forced him to come here, and then we decided to stay because he missed his family." came Neliel's voice.
Ichigo jumped, and screamed, hiding behind Rukia.
"Hello, Ichigo," Neliel said in a voice sweet like cotton candy, with a smile that overtook her whole face.
"Rukia, if I die tonight, tell my family I love them, and perform a konso, ok?" he whispered into the raveonette's ear.
"So, dearest darling brother- what was your reason for waking me up. At midnight. With a LEVEL ONE EMERGENCY WARNING and not letting me fight something?"
Ichigo mumbled out a handful of words, all mushed into one.
"GrimjowbrokethemoutartackhungrytriedtoeatRukia-pleasedontkillme"
"Can you understand a thing he just said?" Rukia asked, bewildered.
"Yeah. He said that Grimmy came back- apparently he faked his death, that sly son of a sea sponge, and let lose a bunch of high security prisoners on the Human World, then Hiretsuna tried to eat you, so he saved you."
Rukia's jaw dropped. "You got all that from his gibberish?!"
Neliel shrugged. "I've been living with Brother since as far as I can remember, I know him better than he knows himself.
"I'll let you off this time, Itsygo, but I will falay you alive next time you wake me up in tHE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, and don't let me fight anything."
With that, she jumped away.
Ichigo let out a breath.
"I'm alive," he gasped.
"Since when are you and Nel related??"

The new year's been hectic
And sorry this chapter is short 😅😅 I'm at the end of what I had written originally, and I have no idea where I was going with this, so I cut out the last bit into I can figure out what direction it's headed in.
