The announcer cleared his throat a bit to get rid of the awkward silence, didn't work much, but it eased up a bit.
"Anyways, it's time for a break! It will be your only break too, so make the most of it!" And the announcer was gone as fast as he would normally pop up, leaving the contestants in even more awkward silence as they brought their piercing stares to the constant they all saw as a threat. So everyone was glaring at Lucy, resulting in an unhappy Lucy, now known as the Hooded Mistress, and a soon to be dead announcer...
(I know it's a bad name, but let it stick!)
'That damn announcer better has something important to do to just leave me here like this!' Lucy thought with anime tears running down her face from the intensity of the glares.
While this was happening, somewhere close to where Lucy was, the announcer popped up with an aggrieved look on his face.
'Sorry Hoodie! But there's no way I'd stay in a crowd like that! Next thing you know I'd be the next victim!'
And so it appears that he didn't have anything important to do at all and just wanted to get the hell outa there, even though he might have to face a fate way worst than those glares, courtesy of Lucy. I sure hope he has enough common sense to realize that and run in time.
'Wait, but that guy never has anything to do besides ticking off a bunch of people, myself included. Oh, he better be able to write a will fast!' Lucy raged in her head as she went stomping off to where she would assume the announcer to be, not paying any heed to the glares and weird looks she was still receiving.
In a not too far corner from the raging Lucy, two people recognized an all too familiar reaction they've faced no matter where they went.Person 1: You think the boss is up to it again?
Person 2: Probably, and it seems he's finally ticked off someone he might not be able to handle...
Peron 1: May his soul finally rest in peace...
Person 2: -es.
Person 1: I can't disagree with that...
Person 2 nodded his head at his friend's comment, but his eyes soon widened in realization.
Person 2: But we haven't gotten paid yet!
Person 1's head snapped in Lucy's direction with a frazzled look in his eyes!
Person 1: Oh hell Nah! *Claps hands after every word* I want my money!
Person 1 and 2 took off in Lucy's direction.
Person 1 and 2: Wait! demon onee-chan! We still haven't gotten paid yet!
Person 1: But you can have him after we've gotten our money!
~
The two persons found Lucy standing right over a now thoroughly frightened announcer.Person 1: Stop!
Person 2:Hold up!
Person 1: You can't be way too rough!
Parson 2: He still got our money in his pocket!
Person 1: So you can't be way too tough!
Lucy looked at them for a while with a raised brow, while they finished off their little song dance thing with an exaggerated closed-eyed pose. They noticed they hadn't heard anything from their demon onee-san, so they slightly opened an eye, only to be met with the sight of Lucy assaulting the announcer's pockets...
