Lucy ran to the place the competition was being held, with Asuka on her back, giggling at every bounce.

Lucy wiggled Asuka and herself to the front of the crowd of spectators to get a better view of the competition.

"Welcome one welcome all, to our first annual Gunslinger competition! This year we decided to come to the kingdom of Fiore in search of a worthy opponent to go up against the world's best shooter and earn his title, but that's not all! If you win against the world's best shooter, you will receive the year's prize of 100,000,000 Jewels and this beautiful and rare dark element pegasus! And remember now, you better sign up quick! Who knows when we'll stop accepting participants! " The announcer pointed to the newly added cage that held a helpless looking pegasus captive.

Lucy turned her attention to the scared looking animal, saddened by his/her weakened state. The pegasus, as if feeling her pitiful gaze, turned to Lucy to pleadingly stare into her eyes with his/her dully glowing ones.

"Big sis...."

Lucy broke from the creature's gaze at the sound of Asuka's voice, then turned to her, worried about her sad tone.

"What's the matter Asu?"

"The horsey looks so sad... I wish I was as good of a shooter as my mommy so I could save him " Asuka softly whispered, also feeling quite sorry for the poor animal. Lucy looked from the pegasus to Asuka then back again, scrunching her brows in thought, when finally an idea struck her. Lucy had been practicing some skills different from her usual celestial magic, shooting included. Lucy didn't think she was all that great, she thinks she still has room for improvement, but the least she could do was try!

"Asu I'm going to sign up."

Asuka's head snapped to Lucy in surprise, would Lucy really risk embarrassing herself to please her? Asuka's never seen her shoot before after all.

"Big sis, you don't have to force yourself for me." Asuka looked at Lucy unsurely.

"You've probably never really handled a gun before this!"

Lucy playfully winked at Asuka while sticking out her tongue

"Let me worry about that~ I'll win for you, I promise~"

Lucy was about to separate herself from the crowd to go sign up, but a familiar head of green hair caught her attention. Lucy went a bit closer while still staying out of sight so she could get a better look at the person. The green-headed lady, along with the man she was standing next to, turned towards Lucy's direction while still talking idly to each other, only to reveal the parents of the girl you thought of as a little sister.

'Oh no! It's Alzack and Bisca! I can't let them see me here with Asuka. But I can't just leave that pegasus!'

"Ladies and Gentlemen I was just informed of an additional prize that was just donated by a mysterious supporter!" The happy go lucky announcer shouted out to the crowd, then his happy sounding voice suddenly went serious out of the blue as if what he was about to say needed this rarely seen side of him. "A map to a group of mysteriously built weapons that were said to choose their welders instead of the other way around. Though it was said those weapons were so powerful it killed any wielder it deemed unworthy. No one knows if the legend of these weapons is true, as no one who goes on the search for these weapons have ever returned, and there is no guarantee that you will if you ever go."
