A/N Heeeeeyyyy guys, sorry about the delay for the new chapter, school just started up again and I'm honestly dying because of constant soccer and the fact that I was again thrown violently into the goddamn jungle that is academics.
What the hell even is algebra.
Especially when you get homework every day.
I wanna die.
Anyway, enjoy this short that has nothing to do with the actual storylines:
Eris's POV
The Holmes-Watson family walked through the high security jail. Prisoners were weeping and screaming loudly in their solitary confinement, begging for mercy. Wails of psychological terror echoed through the stone halls and through the tiny barred windows.
Eris looked up from the journal she was drawing in and tugged at her Doda's sleeve "Doda, where's the bathroom?"
John stared at his ten year old daughter "Eris...we're looking for a wayward prisoner who escaped their cell and commited several murders. You're not even supposed to be here and now you want to wander off alone? I don't think so, young lady."
Eris frowned "But I have to gooooooooo!" She whined.
"Just let her go with Donovan, John." Sherlock interjected, slightly desperate. The real message was pretty clear I need to think and I can't bloody well do so with our daughter squirming!
John hesitated and Donovan sighed "Neither of us gets a say in this anyways, Watson." She put a hand on Eris's back and began to search for a bathroom, leaving John worried and Sherlock finally free to go to his Mind Palace.

"Go quickly, okay Rissy?" Donavan said sternly and Eris nodded before pushing open the door and heading into a stall.
There were scratches in the shape of human fingernails that formed words like "Help me" or "PLEASE LET ME DIE!" Dug into the stall door.
Eris began to wonder if her classmates had written these words instead of insane high-security prisoners. It sure sounded like them.
Eris went about her business and then heard heavy breathing mixed with dry sobs coming from the stall beside her. She looked down and noticed for the first time that she wasn't the only one in the bathroom. The shoes showing under the stall were slightly crusted with blood and worn, like they constantly scraped against stone floors.
Dirt and strands of hair were stuck to the bottoms of the shoes. They were large thick leather boots but what stood out most about the boots to Eris was quite shocking.
They were the uniform footwear for the facility's guards.
"Murder is a pretty terrible thing to do." Eris said aloud and a silent gasp sounded from the stall next to her "Especially when you have five cats. They'll be sad when you go to jail."
"What the goddamn hell?!?"
~~~~~~~~~~~
Eris and Donovan returned to find Sherlock, John, and Lestrade looking supremely frustrated.
"Donovan! You wouldn't believe what we just found out!" Lestrade growled "One of the bodies found was just identified as the missing prisoner who was the prime suspect! What-" he noticed Donovan's wide eyed expression "What's wrong, you look like you've just seen a ghost."
Sherlock and John turned around when they heard the shift in tone. Eris looked at her dads with eyes that held far to much intelligence for a ten year old. "I found the murderer." She said, like it was the most casual topic on earth.
Everyone froze and looked at the young girl. For a moment it was silent except for the cries of prisoners. "You WHAT!?" John said, panic and disbelief clear in his voice.
Lestrade looked at Donovan who had not changed her position. "Is this true, detective?" Lestrade asked cautiously. Donovan nodded, her expression far away.
John peeked at Sherlock and was surprised to find the most emotion he had ever seen on that chiseled face. And all of it was sheer pride.
"Good job, Flower. Now, could you please show us to them?" Sherlock said proudly, grinning at his daughter.
Eris grinned back "Gladly."
A/N This was super short and kinda bad but I just wanted to write something in between real chapter updates to get my creative juices flowing.
Now I want a milkshake.
Whatever.
DON'T DIE!
