As evil as it might be I decided to leave Brittany as a prank. I hid behind a box and waited. I heard her calling my name and I couldn't stop laughing. I ran up behind her and jumped on her. She really screamed that time.
"What the fuck Hayes?!" She punches me in my chest and I couldn't stop laughing.
"Oh so this is funny?! I almost shit myself!" She laughed too.
About 2 hours went by and we were on our way back home from chick fil a.
We pulled up to the house and Brittany was practically jumping out of her seat with excitement.
"I can't wait to see my little girl." She said getting out of the car.
"She's gonna be asleep." She ignored me and we walked in. Tez turned around and greeted us. Brittany immediately went upstairs.
"Hey thanks for watching her."
"No problem. Hey I gotta go but tell Brittany I said bye." He left and I went to Bailey's room. Brittany was kissing her goodnight and I walked in. I leaned down and kissed Bailey and we walked out.
Brittany's pov
"I'm going to bed Hayes." He grabbed my arm and I turned around.
"Could you sleep with me tonight?" He asked and I smiled.
"Of course."
A week later
It's Halloween night and I was getting Bailey ready to go trick-or-treating. She wanted to be Wonder Woman.
"Aw Bailey you look so cute. Let me take a picture. Hayes get in here." I took the picture and Hayes walked in.
"Oh look at my little superhero."
"Go take a picture with her." I took the picture of them and smiled. "Beautiful. Alright baby you ready to go?"
"Yeah yeah yeah." She jumped up and down.

I liked the picture and continued walking. Bailey was getting a lot of candy. I told Bailey to go up to the house beside it because they were giving out full sized candy bars. A bunch of kids must have seen it because a whole crowd of them formed at those people's doorstep. Hayes' phone rang and he walked away and answered it. I couldn't see Bailey, she should've been done by now.
"Bailey." No answer. "Bailey!" Still no answer. "Oh my god Hayes! Hayes!" I was screaming Bloody Mary and getting stares from everyone around me.
"What's going on?!" He ran over to me.
"I can't find Bailey anywhere." I walked up to the house that she went to and asked if they'd seen her.
"No hunny I'm sorry." The woman said. My heads spinning. My whole body is shaking and My hearts going 1,000 beats a minute.
"Hey it's okay we'll find her. Just keep asking around. I'll call the police and let them know what's going on. Just keep looking. Someone had to have seen her." I nodded still shaking.
I asked around for thirty minutes and still no answer. The cops arrived but they weren't any help.
"Everything isn't going to be fucking okay! My daughter is out there lost or something and you're not doing a damn thing about it!" Hayes yelled.
"Sir you need to calm down." The officer said sternly which only pissed him off even more. I calmed Hayes down and I continued looking just then I saw a car pass by and I saw Bailey in the back seat.
"I just saw her in the back of that Jeep!"
"Let's go boys." The cops all got in their cars and drove after it. I got into the car and Hayes followed. He was trying to get me to slow down but my baby was in danger.
"I don't see how you're so fucking calm about this!"
"If we panic it'll only make the situation worse like it is now."
"Hayes our daughter just got kidnapped! What's not fucking clicking?!"
A few minutes went by and we were still chasing this car. The car wrecked and I was flipping out. An ambulance was called, the guy died during the crash and Bailey was unconscious. I rode in the back of the ambulance with Bailey while Hayes met us at the hospital.
They took Bailey back into an operating room and I fell to my knees. I felt like I was screaming at the top of my lungs but I couldn't make a sound. There was nothing I could do to help my little girl. I felt helpless, I was helpless.
The cops came and asked me and Hayes a few questions and then they said they'd get an Id on the guy that took Bailey.
Sammie was one of the first people to get there and then my mom. Nash and Taylor came too. About an hour later Hayes, my family and I were in the waiting room when they called for Bailey's family. I rushed over to the doctor and she was saying all of these things I didn't care about unless she said Bailey was okay.
"Your daughter has a fractured pelvic bone and a broken wrist. But we'll need to keep her overnight so we can keep an eye on her."
"Can we see her?" I said. She nodded and lead us to her room. There she was. You couldn't tell she'd been in an accident other than a couple cuts and bruises. I'm not leaving her side again for a while.
"Mommy? What's going on? I'm scared." I rushed to her and rubbed her head.
"Calm down baby everything's alright. You were in an accident."
"I wanna go home."
"We can go home tomorrow you have to stay overnight."
"Okay."
Soon it was time for everyone to go and it was just me and Hayes. I was laying in the bed with Bailey and she had finally gone to sleep. I haven't said a word to him since we've gotten here.
"Thank you." He looked at me all confused.
"For what?"
"For doing everything possible to calm me down and find Bailey. I don't know what would've happened if you weren't around." I gave him a small smile and he smiled back.
"You're welcome. And if it weren't for you I probably would've gotten arrested tonight." He laughed and I did too. "I'll always be here no matter what when it comes to you and Bailey."
Hayes fell asleep and I was up thinking. That jeep looked really familiar. And then it hit me. ETHAN!!
