There was a long line for ice cream, stretching all the way to the back of the room. We headed for the back when Ethan said, "Wait a second," the walked up to the front of the line. I could see him talking to the employee at the counter.
"What in the world is he doing?" Alex said
"I don't know" I exclaimed as Ethan begins to make his way back.
"Guess what guys!" he says
Alex rolls his eyes "What!" he says with sarcastic excitement. I look at him, then turning my eyes back to Ethan I say
"What is it?"
"I know the manager, which means..." he stops "we can go up front!"
"Yay!" I shout "ice cream here we come!" Alex just rolls his eyes.
"Whatever" he says. I look at him, "I'll go up to the front with you, Ethan" I say, smiling. Alex eyes widen just a bit.
"I'll go to!" he says, almost to loudly. I bite my lip, trying to hold back a laugh.
"Then, let's go!" Ethan says, and we go.
