Very short chapter but it just didn't work well if I joined it with the next chapter.
"So as you can see from your observation of the fights tonight I go through a lot of fighters every month. My higher up fighters don't usually do death matches, but with all the lower ranking fighters constantly perishing I am always in high demand for new fighters". The boss informs me.
"That's all well and good but I fail to see what your shortage in fighters has to do with me". I snap back. I want to be out of her and with my mate on our way back to my pack.
"Well you see I wish to take fighters from the surrounding packs and any rogues found in the area. In exchange for you turning a blind eye, not only will I get my fighters, but you will have all the packs in the area weakened so they won't ever be a threat to you and all rogues will be out of your hair".
"I will accept on one condition, my mate comes with me". I demand
"Unfortunately I can't allow that, your mate still has a large amount of money owing to me that I need to recoup before she is allowed to go anywhere". He states.
"What are you talking about? Wasn't that fight to clear off their debts? She should be free now". What the hell is this guys up to.
"Actually she paid of one of her debts tonight. She still has one remaining and it's quite a substantial one. But if you agree to my terms I'll give you a little gift. He smirks, something is definitely up.
"I'll pay the rest of her debt off, And what kind of gift could you have for me that would make me agree to such terms". I demand.
"Unfortunately I can't accept your offer to pay off her debt, I make too much money off her fighting in the rings to pay me back. As for the other debt your mate paid of tonight, that was to free another from here. So since they're now free, I thought I would show you I want to make this agreement work by releasing them into your care alpha Alex". He informs me
"Well if it's that lover of hers I could definitely see us coming to some kind of arrangement". I really hope it's this Brad guy, I would just love to get my hands on him too.
"No, definitely no lovers around here". He chuckles.
"Then if it's not her lover, then who the hell could you possibly think I'd want you to give me". I snarl, I'm getting sick of this conversation fast.
"Why your daughter of course".
"My what!!!".
