Chapter 10 - Stubborness

Cora's class took forever to end so Camilla tried making conversation.

"So James is only coming back home in a month's time so we can have girls night all the time."

"Yeah, it's been long since we did that."

I wasn't really interested and since we haven't had a girls night since Cora and I were adopted it felt weird talking about it.

After the class we went back home and Camilla just ordered some pizza.

We finished eating and Cora went to bed while me and Camilla stayed behind.

"Anything you want to watch?"

"Nothing in particular Cam, you choose."

It felt good to spend some time with her alone without her annoying husband.

We watched Bad Moms, our all time favourite. We could watch that a million times and still enjoy it.

After the movie we went to bed and for the first time in a while I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

The next morning Camilla had to leave for work quite early and I had to drop Cora off at school. She gave me my car back for the while that James wasn't here.

"Cora, hurry up you're gonna be late."

She came rushing out of her room with her bag in one hand and a brush in the other. I quickly did her long brown hair into a side braid and tied the rest in a pony tail.

After putting her lunch in her bag we finally left.

"Thank you for doing my hair. I love it."

I just smile at her and pinch her cheeks playfully.

After dropping her off I went to see Jake.

It took a while to get past him but I finally got some stuff. I convinced Jake that it was for me but my actual plan was to sell it.

I went to a shady part of town and surely there were people willing to buy. Atleast no one gave me trouble and it all went smoothly.

Well that is all except for one stubborn idiot.

"I told you the price now pay, or you're not getting anything."

"I don't have that much money. I will have the rest by tomorrow. Just please let me have it."

I pull him closer and whisper sternly into his ear.

"If I don't have my money by tomorrow it will be the end of the road for you."

I took the money and gave him the drugs. I made more than just a few dollars and it was pretty easy.

I didn't bother going back to the warehouse since the cops probably took the car. I just hope they don't somehow track it back to me.

When I got to my spot in the woods I went over to my car.

I sat there in silence until I saw something that was out of place.

One of the door pieces were out of place.

That reminded me that Nina never told me why she stole my car and it looks like I was about to find out.

Just then I saw a packet with white powder. I examened it and place a little bit on my tongue. It was probably the stupidest thing to do but I really wanted to know what it was.
