We all walk into the centre of town, sitting enjoying the sun. And still talking about missing kids.

"okay, so let me get this straight. It comes out from wherever and eats kids, for like, a year? And then what? it just goes into hibernation?" Eddie asks

"maybe it's like.... what do you call it? Cicadas. You know the bugs that come out once every 17 years." Stan says

"my grandfather thinks this town is cursed. he says that all bad things that happen in this town are because of one thing. An evil thing that feeds off the people of derry." Mike explains

"but it can't be one thing. We all saw something different."

"Maybe. Or maybe it knows what scares us most and that's what we see."

"i- i saw a leper. He was like a walking infection." Eddie says

"but you didn't. Because it wasn't real. None of this is. Not eddie's leper. Or bill seeing georgie. Or the women i keep seeing." Stan says

"she hot?" Richie says

"No richie. She's not hot. Her face- her face is all messed up."

"none of this makes any sense." I say

"they're all like bad dreams." Stan says

"i don't think so. I know the difference between a bad dream and real life, okay?" mike says

"whatd you see? You see something too?" Eddie asks

"yes. Do you guys know that burnt down house on harris avenue? I was inside when it burnt down. Before i was rescued, my mum and dad were trapped in the next room over from me. They were pushing and pounding on the door, trying to get to me. But it was too hot, when the fireman finally found them, the skin on their hands had melted to the bone. We're all afraid. of something."

"got that right." Richie says

"Why rich? What you afraid of?" I asks

"clowns." He says pushing his glasses up his nose.

We walk back to bills house, but on the way me and richie fall behind.

"Hey y/n?"

"Yeah?"

"Did you see anything?" He asks- my heart stops.

i nod.

"What- what did you see?" He asks

"uh, i saw you.." I say quietly.

"huh?"

"I went into my back yard to put my bike away and the voice called me towards my back door. No one was home so it was strange. I walked up to the door and the voice started saying horrible things like 'no one loves you' or 'your a waste of space' stuff like that. I went closer and i saw you. But it didn't look exactly like you. You had like maggots coming out of your face or something. When i got closer you told me you would never love someone like me and that i'm ugly. I-I backed away and this clown came out of no where." I tell him shaking.

"Oh my god y/n. Why didn't you tell me." He asks

"i was embarrassed."

"why."

"My fear is you richie. I was scared that you would reject me- or that you'd forget about me, that all of you would forget about me." i say on the verge of tears

"Y/n, you're amazing. We'd never forget you. And i wouldn't reject you." He smiles. Wiping my tears away

"Y/n, i really like you. Heck i think i even love you. I have for awhile." Richie says. "So would you be my girlfriend?"

"y-"

"If you do say no- i've got so many other ladies lined up for thi-" He says gesturing himself

"Richie- of course i'll be your girlfriend." I say kissing him quickly- not to be noticed by the others, "and i really like you too- i guess." i chuckle

"WOOO!" Richie says i'm excitement. "TRASH MOUTHS GOT A GIRLFRIEND! SUCK IT EDDIE!" He says running around the other losers.
