'I'm back in the warehouse. I'm alone until I hear a loud bang. It's him. The door swings open with force, sending a cold chill into the room as well as the knowledge that I'm no longer alone. Ranjou stands at the doorway, smiling menacingly straight at me, his maniacal laughter stabbing straight through my abused body. I try to scream, but nothing comes out. I can't move, and he's now running towards me, with a knife, each step getting closer... and closer...'
Taehyung sat bolt upright in bed, his breathing quick and irregular and with tears in his eyes. Jungkook slowly awoke but immediately turned to him when he heard crying.
"Are you alright Tae? What's wrong?" He asked worriedly, also sitting up and rubbing his eyes tiredly.
"He's trying to get m-me. T-the warehouse- h- he was there and-" Tae choked, and Jungkook leaned next to him and hugged him protectively."Shh Tae, breathe. Its okay, I'm here, and he can't hurt you any more. Don't cry baby." Jungkook comforted him, rubbing his back. Tae wiped his eyes and calmed down a bit.
"Sorry for waking you, I keep having stupid nightmares." Tae mumbled, fiddling with his fingers.
"Don't be sorry, it's okay." Jungkook said, pecking the back of Tae's head softly.
"Thanks Kookie.""Is something still scaring you Tae?" Jungkook asked, turning his boyfriend's face towards him.
"I guess I'm a little anxious about court tomorrow." Tae replied honestly.
"Don't be, everything will be fine, you've got this." Jungkook said, and Tae nodded before pulling Jungkook back under the covers. He wrapped his arms and legs around the younger, who smiled at him fondly.
"I love you Tae."
"I love you too bunny."The were both woken up by the dreaded sound of the alarm. Today was the day where Taehyung's case would be settled in court. That morning he was very nervous, but Jungkook comforted him and told him that this should get him justice, and that it'll be fine.
"I just don't know if I can bear to see his face again." Taehyung muttered as he got changed into his uniform. Jungkook frowned before walking over and back-hugging him."Just tell the truth Tae, and it's likely you'll never have to see him again. I'll be right there the whole time." Jungkook said, and Tae turned around to him and smiled.
"Thanks Kookie. You're the best boyfriend ever." He said, and Jungkook pecked his cheek lightly.Later that day they arrived at the court on time, and filed in with the judge and the jury. Two tables were placed in front of the judge. One for the criminal, the other for the victim. It turns out that Tae's lawyer was Jin's brother, Namjoon, who stood next to him professionally as they waited for it to start. Jungkook and Hobi were the ones who escorted Ranjou to his seat, and they stood there just in case he tried anything.
Namjoon defended Taehyung through the process. Taehyung was fighting back the tears as everything hit him, knowing that his ex tried to kill him. He loved that man once, but he was nothing to him now. Jungkook wanted so badly to go over and comfort Taehyung, but he had to do his job and stay to supervise Ranjou.
Ranjou kept an emotionless face throughout the whole thing, even smirking when he was given a life sentence. He truly was a monster. Once court had ended, Ranjou was taken away to be locked up, smiling creepily at Taehyung as he was dragged out. Tae just looked at his feet and breathed heavily, feeling relieved that he was finally out of his life for good.
They all made their way out, and Jungkook ran over to Taehyung immediately.
"Well done Tae, he got what he deserves." Jungkook said, hugging his boyfriend tightly. Taehyung sighed, but then smiled and returned the hug.
"Thanks Jungkook. Namjoon really is a great lawyer. We should go now, I don't wanna be here any longer than I have to be." Taehyung said, and Jungkook nodded, walking out with him.
