Eddie Kaspbrack is once again, running from something he cannot see, but knows will kill him if it catches up with him.

He recognizes he's in the same place he was the night before when the being caught him. It's never a solid thing that's chasing him, it's almost as if it's a ghost, or invisible.

"EDDIE!!"

Eddie turns around slowly upon hearing his name, seeing a figure on the ground, curled up in a ball. Eddie slowly walks over to ball on the ground, crouching to examine the damage.

The figure had stopped whimpering, and was as still as a concrete brick. Eddie poked around on his body, seeing if there was any sort of life, when the figure sat straight up, making Eddie fall on his back. The being stood straight up, and started making his way towards him. Eddie couldn't move, as he was blinded by fear. He screamed his head off, trying to get someone, anyone to help him.

"Please! Please! Get away, someone, help me!"

Richie heard the bloodcurdling scream coming from the bed. He jumped up, grabbing Eddie by his shoulders.

"Eds? Eds, come on, wake up. It's okay, it's just a nightmare." Richie said, trying to soothe the smaller boy, with no such luck.
Richie noticed how heavy Eddies chest was moving up and down, and remembered the inhaler. He scrambled over to the desk, grabbing at shit in the dark, just trying to find the inhaler or the light switch so he could see. When he finally turned on the lamp and found the inhaler, he ran to Eddie, picking him up as he had once before so many hours ago, and put the inhaler in his mouth.

Eddies eyes flew open as he felt arms around him, he tried scratching them away, but then he heard a familiar voice, causing him to pause.

"Eddie. Eddie, you're okay. I'm here, I'm right here, everything's fine. You're fine." Richie said, as he puffed the inhaler into Eddies mouth.

Eddie grabbed either one of Richies arms as his lungs took the air in, his chest rising and falling slower and slower. His sobs racked his body as he clutched onto Richie.

What kind of precious angel like him could be so tortured into having nightmares this bad?, Richie thought to himself as he held Eddie, stroking his hair softly, and running his hand over Eddies arms, back and forth.

"I'm- I'm so sorry Rich." Eddie said in a small voice, barely above a whisper.

Richie pushed Eddie away, both boys filled with confusion of the others actions.

"What the hell do you have to be sorry for? You probably go through these, night after night, with not a single person to comfort you. I'm sorry I wasn't here for you sooner. No one deserves to go through this shit alone." Richie stands, separating the two boys. He runs his fingers through his hair, unsure of how he couldn't have noticed Eddie sooner in all the classes they had together.

Eddie gets on his knees, while he's still on the bed. Eddie admires the way Richie paces, as if he's trying to solve every problem in the universe. He wipes his tears as Richie returns to where Eddie is, but he doesn't take a seat on the bed. Eddie wraps his arms around Richies neck, kissing his cheek softly before snuggling into the crevice of his neck.

Eddies voice, which is just above a whisper, rings throughout the entire room, "Thank you, Richard Tozier, for being my heaven-sent angel."

Eddie climbs over to the left side of the bed, uncovering the right side and patting it softly.

"Shut the lamp off whenever you're ready to come to bed."

Richie shuts the lamp off, and as if he is in some sort of hazy trance, he slowly gets in bed. He lays so his back is facing Eddie, when suddenly, he feels two arms wrap around his mid section. Eddie spoons up next to Richie, leaning up to kiss a soft spot on his neck, and snuggles against his back.
