Brian's P.O.V

I lurked outside the room in which I presumed the drumming was roaring from, it wasn't exactly like a song or tune of sorts, it was more just them drumming their soul out which I admired.

I leant up against the thin wall that separated us, and pressed my head to it.

After a little while longer of me just listening to them play and repeatedly smash their drum sticks around, it suddenly stopped.

This was my cue to leave, yet before I could sneak back into my dorm, the door slid open and out popped a familiar face.

In the door frame stood the pretty, yet clumsy, blonde haired waiter I immediately recognised from earlier today with the same shocked expression on his face that I held.

"Sorry-I was just listening to you're drumming, you're really good." I smiled, clearing my throat in the awkward tension that I realised I put myself in.

"You think so? Most people ask to change floor after they hear me play." He smiled back, blushing a bit and leaning against the door.

Wow, he's adorable, I thought, but quickly pushed those thoughts out of my mind as I remembered I'm straight and have a girlfriend.

"I'm Brian, Brian May. I just moved here yesterday." I Said, holding out my icy hand.

"Roger Taylor, I've already been here about a year." He beamed, his hand felt warm, and probably sore after all that drumming, but we shook hands anyway.

"What are you studying?" I asked.

"Er-Biology, mum and dad think I should become a dentist, drums is just a hobby. You?" Roger said, scratching his neck.

"Astrophysics, I play electric guitar, but that's just a hobby too." I Said smiling sheepishly.

His eyes widened, sparkling and gazing at me, "Electric guitar? That's so cool! You should totally play for me sometime!" Roger beamed.

"Sure, seeing as we're on the same floor. When I unpack it tomorrow I'll invite you over." I agreed.

"Well it was a pleasure meeting you, but I should probably get to my room." I continued, shoving my hands back into my pockets because of how bitter and freezing it was.

"Uh, Hey-Brian, I was just going for a smoke, do you wanna come?" He questioned, leaping up from leaning against the door before I walked off.

Brian's P.O.V

"Are you sure we're even allowed to be up here?" I asked as Roger lead me up the tall trail of stairs which took us to the roof top.

"We pay to live in this building, so why should the school care which part we go to? Anyway I come up here all the time." He replied reassuring me.

I gulped and put a shaky hand on the railing as we continued to climb higher.

I had always had a fear of heights, and if you looked up to see the towering dorm block we were currently walking up, you might see my point of view.

Either that, or I'm being dramatic.

We reached the top of the stairs where a door stood that opened to the roof and I paused, gripping the handrail tightly.

Roger swivelled around while clutching the door handle and looked at me.

"Brain, I promise we won't get into trouble." He said, leaving the door and walking a few steps down towards me.

"It's-it's not that." I stammered, flushing a deep red with embarrassment.

"Are you afraid of heights?" He asked looking slightly amused which only made my stomach churn.

"U-Uh, y-yeah." I stuttered looking away from him.

I expected Roger to laugh and say something like; "how can a person as tall as you be afraid of heights?", but walked forward, grabbing my hand and swiftly tugged me up the stairs.

"W-What are you doing-?" I gasped turning a rosy pink.

He opened the door once again and yanked me through the door, an icy breeze blasting through us as doing so.

"Showing you that heights are nothing to be afraid of." Roger replied squeezing my hand.

Easy for you to say, I thought.

"See?" He said, I couldn't see his face but I knew he was smiling, I was to busy gazing out at the view.

All my fears had washed away when I gazed out at the small cars zooming past down the slim roads, bright lights flickering around the busy city, washing lines draped on roof tops, crumbling apartment blocks and luxury ones. It was amazing.

I realised we were still holding hands and quickly let go, regret pouring into me like hot oil the second I did so.

"It's amazing." I breathed.

"See, nothing to be scared of? Although if we enter a room full of spiders I expect you to comfort me to." He giggled.

"Of course, princess." I laughed.

A/N: hey dudes, chapter 4 is gonna be out soon :D
