Please remember, this was written before House of Hades, and Blood of Olympus. CAN'T WAIT FOR MAGNUS CHASE! He's Annabeth's cousin.

Chiron Reveals Terrifying Camp History

Annabeth sat in her chair at the ping-pong table waiting for Chiron to explain what was going on. The others were already there, including Katie, who didn't want to be alone. Unlike other times, no one talked.

They were also waiting for Percy. She sighed.

'He's always later for meetings.'

Chiron came in with his wheel chair. He rolled to the end, folding his hands on the table. He opened his mouth to speak when Annabeth interrupted him.

"We can't start without Percy."

"Percy isn't at camp today."
Chiron explained with a strained voice. He didn't want to force Percy back to hear this news. Who knows if this would set off anything. Especially after Tartarus? The kid would have more nightmares than godly relatives. He sighed. Today's going to be rough.

"But he's always at camp. I saw him yesterday and this morni-"

"Have you seen him during the rest of the day?"

"Well no, bu-"

"He's never here on this day."
He sighed again, signaling Annabeth that their conversation was over.

She was still confused. But now that she thought 'bout it, Percy's never at camp on this day. Ever. Since the past four years.

"Katie, are you okay to explain to us what happened yet?"

Katie nodded, gulping down the rest of her water.

"I was walking around the woods with one of my half-sisters, Jessie, when t-this, freakishl-ly tall man with a black suit showed up. He had n-no face. L-l-long tentical arms. And he just wrapped one around Jess, and she, and him, just di-disappear-red." That was all she said before she quiely tightened the blanket around herself and shrunk into the seat.
Chiron sighed and rubbed his hand over his forehead.

"I wished nothing like this would happen again."

"Wait, happen again? What do you mean again?" Clarisse asked outraged.

Chiron looked at each of them individually.

"You must swear on the Styx that you tell no one else in camp. Or the Gods."

Everyone looked skeptical, but swore nontheless.

"About four years ago, seven half bloods walked into the forest, and only four came back out. Poor lads, couldn't cope with what happened. All of them still half nightmares. They all said the same thing, a man in a black suit, no face, many tentical arms, tall. This has been the first attack since then."

Everyone had the same question in their mind.

'Why didn't he tell us?'

"Chiron?" Jason piped up, cutting the silent.

"Yes?"

"Who were the seven that when in? And who are the one's that disappeared?" Chiron get sad eyes just thinking of the one's that were lost in those woods, and the grief he could still see in the eyes of the surviviors. He took a deep breath.

"The three that disappeared were Daniel, Francis, and Jack. The others," Chiron choked, remembering their tears on their face, the blood covered clothes, the hope gone from their eyes. And there was nothing he could do to stop them from seeing nightmares every night. Always finding them in the middle of the night, on the porch, watching the woods.

"Alex, Henry, Torrie, and" He paused and took another deep breath. He didn't know what their reactions would be. Now or never.

"Percy. Our Percy."

They just stared at him in shock. None of them moved, and none of them made a sound.
