I sighed in happiness, watching the sun set over the cliff as I lay there drinking in the last bit of the warm afternoon sun. My body felt content and my mind as ease, but that was before a bucket of ice cold water rained down on me and I let out a shriek of surprise.
Shooting upright, I scanned my surroundings looking for my attacker. The waterpool's surface was clear and flat, nobody was on the cliff or the swings and the tree's were empty. Listening carefully I picked up the soft ruffling of leaves, but before I could react a body collided with mine. We crashed to the ground and when we finally stopped wrestling a very pleased looking Blake was sitting on top of me with a water gun in his hand.
Laughing I took in his appearance, his body was painted with mud, a army bandanna was tied around his head and his face was painted red.
"You are now a prisoner of the Red Forest Troops! Do not try to escape it will lead to severe consequences! Now get up and march you useless worm! March I say!" He says while tying up my hands. Then he climbed off of me and pointed his gun at me.
Deciding to play along I obeyed the command and slowly started to march in the direction I was ordered to.
Whenever Blake thought I was walking to slow he would softly jab the gun into my back and order me to move faster. When we finally crossed into the clearing Zachary joined us, Blake gave him a once and shrugged. I was lead into the a small tent and ordered to be quiet.
"Divan keep an eye on her, I'm going to call HQ and inform them we have the enemies leader captive." Blake said and left.
Zach waited a few seconds and then slipped the small pocket knife into my hands and retook his position just before Blake entered. I couldn't help but smile, it was always a guess when it came to Zach and Divan since they were identical. I had it easier though, since I was the only one that could calm them down when they use to cry as babies.
"What are the orders?" Zach asked very serious.
"We are to keep her here, until the boss arrives." Blake replied taking as he checked on my restraints. "I'm going to do a sweep of the area, if I'm not back within 10 minutes radio for back up. Zach nodded and Blake left.
We waited 3 minutes and then Zach turned to me smiling like a maniac, as he threw me a shirt and jean shorts.
"Where is everyone?" Smiling I pulled them over my bikini and picked my weapons out of their back up supply.
"Scott and Owen are guarding the base. Cole's hiding at the cliff, that's where we have Divan captive. We were on our way to you when we where ambushed." Zach replied, back in his soldier mode.
"Let's get to Cole first, we'll use the trees." I answered as I stepped out of the tent and took of sprinting to the nearest tree, Zach right behind me. When we reached the tree line I scanned our surroundings for the one marked with a small blue arrow.
"Over here Cap!" Zach whispered yelled and by the time I reached him he was already halfway up the tree. Without wasting a second I scrambled after him.
He pulled me into the small platform that was hidden by the branches and leaves. Our gang had build them way back when we were little and would play hide and seek in the woods at night. But know our team, The Archer's Pack use them, since only our team knows about them.
"Stay here on lookout and if they come back use the radio to signal us. I'm going to go get Cole and some gear." I said and reached for the harness that was attached to the zip line. Waiting a few more minutes until it was finally dusk I took of with one last nod from Zach.
Flying through the trees from platform to platform I survied the forest floor, or the bit of it I could see. My night vision goggles were back at HQ, which left to blind in the night. By the time I finally reached the waterfall it was dark enough so that the only light was the moon reflecting off of the waterpool's surface.
