Everything can change with the discovery of anything, the discovery of electricity revolutionized the way we thought about power. The lightbulb changed how we lit our streets and homes. But no change was more extreme as the change that happened in 2025. As researchers now describe it,
"The sky split apart and what descended were the beings of light, giving us new meaning and a new, happier way of living." Author Unknown
When the world discovered that angels were real, everything changed. The world stopped believing in multiple religions and fell under one new religion called Grace. The world came to a form of peace, for the humans at least, because angels weren't the only beings to be revealed to exist. Dwarves and Elves came out of hiding, hidden among the human population. This lead to great technological advances and the mortal races thrived, But what some discovered that if angels exist then demons exist as well. At least that's what the mortal races called them and what the angels claimed them to be. This sparked a war between the angels and demons but with the mortal races mainly taking the side of the angels. With the greater force, these demons were nearly wiped out and sent back to where they came from, but the world wasn't left without change, Horned beings started appearing. With the growth of these beings, the world was introduced to Necromancy. A darker form of magic than those of what the Elves, Dwarves, and Angels had. The Angels, fearing what this type of magic could cause, forced the mortal races to try to wipe these beings out, calling them demon spawns. They were mostly successful. Mostly. Some of these demons spawn adapted to the anger, some suffered for what they were told was a disgrace. Many if they survived the hunts, ended up committing suicide, or living in sewers of cities barely surviving, But with most stories, not everything is as it seems. Through an act, some call desperate but others call resilient, communities did sprout among the other races, but even they had their own ways to make sure people weren't discovered. But some aren't that lucky.
