???? POV
My head was throbbing when my eyes finally opened "God did anyone catch the license plate of the truck that hit me?" I said as I tried to rub my forehead. As I went to move my arm I heard the clink of chains as my hand stops just as it leaves the ground. I looked down and saw around my wrist were chains, connected to the wall that I was leaning on. "What the hell?" I grunted lightly and started to try and pull myself from the wall. 'I wouldn't do that if I were you" My eyes shot up as I looked to the wall in front of me and there, in the same position I was in, was an older man with a scraggly beard and rags for clothes. "You know it's not every day I see someone of your race here buddy" I grimaced at the words the human just said, " Well it's not like that's really my fault now is it human?" He smiled and looked me dead in the eyes "Oh? And what are you going do demon boy? As far as I see it" He leaned towards me trying to get in my face "Your more fucked than I am and I'm an Arsonist!" He cackled like he just got done smoking a pack of cigarettes. He sadly spoke the truth even I knew that still didn't mean I had to like it. "Where are we exactly?" I glanced around the room we were in. The human laughed and leaned back against the wall "Your own hell boy! This is one of those annex rooms for people that go against those angel-folk" "Oh joy" I sighed already getting the idea of what would happen to me in my head "Thieves, Murderers, Rapists, Con artists" He gave me a pointed look and smiled "Demons, anyone who breaks a big enough law to get in trouble" The man said as he shifted his position to get more comfortable "You must love breaking the biggest law every day of your miserable life" I furrowed my brow as he said that "Its not like I have any other choice now do I?" He coughed as he laughed this time "You're a demon boy you're the biggest infraction to the law there is, Don't associate, assist, make deals with, or be a demon, don't try to act like you're the victim!" My eyes widened in realization as the pieces fell into place "The priests and paladins" He smirked in my direction "Bingo, and I burned things and people for a living and I'll still be left off better than you are." As I was about to respond to the man, a door that I didn't even notice opened up. The man smirked as he saw who walked through the door and my eyes widened in terror, "Silence in the name of Grace the all mighty power ruling the world." The gruff voice came from the fully armored paladin. Judging from the full metal plating and shine coming from the paladin it was obvious this wasn't anyone new. 'fuck' I may not have known much on how the law system works here but I didn't think I warranted this. The paladin moved out of the doorway and behind him walked in a woman, dressed in mostly white and golden robes, holding a holy symbol out in front of her "There need not be worry on this day, for the darkness in your soul shall be cleansed from this world." My mind raced as she continued her entire spiel, "Well you old bastard it's been nice knowing you but it looks like the judge and executioner are here for you" I cursed myself as soon as those words left my mouth. He looks at me in confusion slowly started to laugh "Oh you damned fool! Do you really think that there's any way out of this for you? You were fucked from the start, you knew these people were coming for you. Them and their entire fucking religion! They know its all for n-" before he could even finish his rant the paladin had moved across the room and kicked his head into the wall stopping him mid-sentence busting his head wide open. "Silence prisoner, the priest speaks and you will listen" only turning his head he looked towards me his expression hidden by his helm "Same goes for you horned one another sentence from you and you will meet the same fate." I sighed in defeat leaning back into the wall. The priest looked towards the paladin with a hint of disgust "Such barbarism Sir Berol" He gave her no response his attention still on me. "Now that we have calmed ourselves," The priest looked back to me with a neutral expression "Horned one, Would you please give me your name, for even a demon spawn should have the chance for redemption, even in the face of execution." Again my mind raced but this time I knew there was nothing I could say to get me free from these chains, at least not with my head on my shoulders. Coming to this realization, I slowly brought my eyes up to her "Barakas, my name is Barakas Nowhere."
