It was stunning, to say the least, better than where Philly was before. Bright, sunny, almost the same as Heaven, or at least what is equivalent to heaven. They stood there in awe, as the platform lowered to a bridge. Once the bridge and platform connected, they stepped onto the bridge. They walked past a couple, saying awkward 'hello's and 'how are you's to citizens here and there.

Philly didn't want all the talking, they were here for one thing and one thing only. They made their way up near a statue as a kid, standing on a crate, yelled with a paper in his hand. Trying to bring attention to something, Philly didn't pay mind to his proposal, walking past as he smiled at them.

They made their way through the city, and no one seemed to question them. They stepped by two kids, playing with a broken fire hydrant and in the water. Philly only ignored the two and walked by, looking down. The thing on their mind was to find the girl, in the tower, or something like that. Where that was, Philly didn't know. But they'll find it. They walked down the path.

It wasn't crowded like Philly thought it would be, but there were people speckled here and there. Especially the bridge they stopped themselves on. A blimp floated by, the words 'A VISION OF A GREAT CITY!' on it. This city is different from where Philly came from, so assuming by that, this is some sort of 'Do it this way or it's not perfect' kind of way. Hopefully, It won't come to that.

Philly waited as a voice spoke, seeming to explain a little better what they got themselves into. "After the victory at Wounded Knee, the angel Columbia did present herself to Father Comstock and show him a vision of the future." Huh... Philly thought to themselves as the second blimp passed, reading 'THE PROPHET COMSTOCK LEADS HIS PEOPLE OUT OF THE SODOM BELOW!'

"And so our Prophet led the people away from the Sodom Below, up, up into the city, where they created an even more perfect union." The words from whoever spoke made Philly think otherwise, but they aren't one to judge mainly on what they hear. But the area is making them feel uneasy. Something else is going on.

A blimp floated by, it was a family, seeming to hold a baby in their arms. 'A MIRACLE CHILD IS BORN, THE FUTURE OF THE CITY IS SECURED!' Philly furrowed their eyebrows. Something about the miracle child is familiar.

"But it was the miracle child, the lamb, that is the future of our city," Stated the Parade narrator. "For the Prophet had said that she in the tower will lead the Sodom Below in righteousness." That's why shes familiar. Philly only furrowed their eyebrows, watching the blimps go by, and the bridge goes up. The 'Please Wait' sign lifted, letting people through.

"All Clear," A policeman spoke, "Good luck at the raffle, folks!" Philly walked onto the bridge, thinking. A raffle? Sounds like a good time, especially since Philly was there. Something was bound to happen there.

There was a sign, making Philly scoff as they walked up the stairs. "'Columbia Raffle and Fair'. Heh," They shook their head. Passing people by, Philly calmly followed a path, looking around. They made their way up the stairs, looking and searching for anything that may be of some use. Singing from the left of them caught their attention. The blimp, or airship, had for men singing in harmony. 'God Only Knows!' was the song, perhaps, they didn't know but holy shit was the singing good.

Philly walked around more, taking food here and there that were laying out, found some silver eagles here and there. They took a turn and walked past a couple, walking up the stairs and brought up the flyer of a statue angel, the same one in front of them. "Yeah, that's where they said I'd find her," They murmured to themselves. Footsteps being heard made them put the flyer away, looking at a little boy.

"Telegram, Mr. DeWitt," He spoke, holding up a card up to Philly, "Telegram for you, Sir." Philly took it, making the boy do a salute and runoff. Philly turned the card over, before reading what it said.

'Dewitt STOP
Do not alert Comstock to your presence STOP

Whatever you do, do not pick #77 STOP

Lutece'

Philly scoffed, before looking up at the angel tower. "What the...?" They only shook their head, before turning on their heel and made their way down a path. #77 of what? The Raffle? They didn't necessarily plan on joining, but it seems like they don't have much of a choice.

Everyone was talking, about this, that, the raffle. Something about the city made Philly's skin go pale, but they didn't know what to do. They only sighed, shaking the feeling away and walked up the stairs. Up another set of stairs, a man was seeming to show something off. What exactly, Philly didn't know. But the people watching seemed hella fucking interested. Philly paid no mind, however, and walking past his explanation, only hearing the word VIGOR.

There were Fair games everywhere, making Philly assume correctly that they landed themselves in the Fair, and played some games here and there just to please the people there. Also just out of pure curiosity, and earned some sweet cash on the way.

Everything seemed fine, especially when they reached the end at the gate, unlucky to not get through. They looked to their left, a friendly girl was talking to them. "Dear friend, have you ever lost a penny to a vending machine?" They walked over. "Has a pay telephone ever refused to connect you with your beloved spouse?" She smiled, as they looked at the bucket she had around her neck.

"Give me one of those," Philly spoke, pulling one out and looked at the green potion. The lady smiled at them.

"With just a whisper," She spoke, as Philly opened the bottle. "They're all ears..."Philly brought the bottle up to their mouth and drank it. Before blinking. The Possession Hawker traced a heart with her index fingers, a sickening green outlining it before blowing Philly a kiss. There was a whisper in their ear, confusing the shit out of them before everything went back to normal. (If you don't know, The Possession Vigor gives you the ability to possess things Such as Enemys, Vending Machine things, etc. It's pretty lit.)

Philly backed up after everything was done, looking at the Hawker who pretended nothing had happened before mumbling to themselves, "What the hell was that?" They looked into the green tent that was propped up, taking the Salts in there before walking up to the machine.

Without much hesitation, they flung the green hue of a lady ghost at the machine, which spun around it. "Well, if it isn't Assemblyman Buford!" It spoke. "Your spot in the raffle awaits. Don't know why I didn't recognize you before. Odd! Always good to have gentlemen of your caliber at our fine fairgrounds!" The gate opened, letting the brunette through.

However, Philly stopped when they were met with two figures. A lady and a man, a redhead and a brunette. Ralph, the brunette, smiled at Philly. He had a chalkboard draped over his shoulders, 'HEADS' and 'TAILS' written in pristine handwriting, 12 tally marks under heads. Erin, the red head, was holding a plate.

"Heads..." Ralph spoke, a sly grin on his face.

"Or tails?" Erin spoke, tilting her head.

Philly rolled their eyes, furrowing their eyebrows. "Come on, let me through." Ralph flipped the coin to them, which they caught with their right hand.

"Heads," Ralph repeated.

"Or Tails?" Erin repeated.

Philly hummed, thinking while looking at the coin. They sighed, before flipping it. "Tails."

It landed on the plate as Ralph and Erin looked at it. She was disappointed. "Told you," Ralph stated, as Erin scoffed, bringing up the chalk and drew a line beside the other two.

"I never find that as satisfying as I'd imagine," Ralph stated, tilting his head as they walked over to the right, showing the other chalkboard.

"Chin up. There's always next time," Erin huffed.

It has been Heads the whole time. It has never been Tails. Interesting. Philly shook their head, walking down the steps and away from the two.
