~ ¤ Barbarian's Girl¤ ~
When Isabella was finished with her food, she nervously looked up at him, only to find him already gazing at her. She gulped but maintained contact. They stared at each other for a couple of minutes. He, suddenly, got up and left. She felt disappointed that he left. She wanted to ask him all the questions that are running through her mind but how could she ask him if she couldn't speak?
She sighed frustrated as she lied back on the bed. She decided to wait for him to come back because there was no way she would go outside alone. She could hear screaming and yelling and she didn't want to find the reason behind them.
Hours passed as she looked around, bored, waiting for him. She stared to get sleepy but she tried to stay awake in case he comes back but failed as sleep took over her body.
"Wake up, princess.", She heard a faint voice calling her but she ignored it thinking it was her imagination." Wake up, you have to eat.", She heard the voice again. This time she decided to open her eyes and looked at the blurry siluate standing in front of her.
She rubbed her eyes to get rid of the sleep as she sat up straight. She blinked a couple of times before looking at the person talking to her. Her eyes widen when she saw who it was. The guy who carried her on his shoulder that day.
He chucked," Yeah, it's me, now get up and eat, it's night and I'm guessing you didn't eat anything else since breakfast.", He stated, his eyes never leaving hers.
She shifted uncomfortable before nodded. She slowly got up and sat on the chair before she started eating the food he brought her. It smelled amazing. It was cooked chicken with potatoes.
She took a bite and nodded her head in approvment at the taste. It was delicious. He chuckled as he watched her diving into her food. He sat across from her and waited for her to finish. Isabella ignored him as she focused on her food.
She took the last bite before wiping her hands on the towel and she looked at him. They stared at each other for some minutes. He was trying to figure her out, to see if she is scared but she wasn't, surprisingly.
She was staring at him curious as to who he is, she wanted to ask but she was afraid to talk, she hadn't talk in so long." You don't talk much, do you?", He asked her narrowing his eyes at her.
She gestured, with her hand, her neck before shaking her head no," You don't talk, at all?" He questioned kind of surprised. She nodded as she looked down.
"I guess, it's fine. Anyway, I'm sure you have a lot of questions, right?", She nodded." Well, I can't tell you why you are here, you can't find it out from me. The only thing that you have to know is that you are safe and protected here." He said confident as he got up and then left without throwing another glance.
Isabella signed as she returned back to the bed. Her questions were still not answer. She didn't know if she should trust them. They killed so many people but she learned not to judge people by they appearance or their actions if she doesn't know the reason behind their actions.
So, she just laid there, fighting with her thoughts. She felt the bed sink as someone laid behind her. She quickly turned around and felt her heart beat faster as she saw him. He was laying on his side, facing her. She, too, laid on her side facing him.
His eyes were fire in water, if there such a thing. They were passion in ice and she couldn't stop looking at them. She could feel herself getting lost in them. She was looking at him with curiosity. He knew she wanted to know who he was.
"I'm Kennan King." She gasped. She had heard stories about him when she was younger. He the most dangerous and heartless man to ever exist. He killed people without a second thought. The only thing that he cared for was his men.
