Alistair shivered as he took out his worn wallet to pay the entrance fee for the fair. It was a chilly evening and his thin jacket wasn't doing much to protect him from it. He was waved through by the bored looking worker after being handed back his change.

He was determined to find out what happened to his friend and he would do anything in order to do so, including paying the ridiculously high entrance fee.

As he walked through the fairgrounds he looked around at all the lit up rides. The nostalgia hitting him from every direction as he drank in the sights. If it weren't for the fact that his friend was missing, he would have a huge smile on his face. He felt his fingers become numb from the cool evening air and wondered how anyone could stand the rides with the current weather.

He shoved his hands into his jacket hoping for just an ounce of relief and sighing when he felt his hands warm up just a bit. Alistair walked towards the bathroom area briskly, wanting to get this nightmare over with. He wasn't one to cry but the thought of Alessandra being hurt by some psycho was taunting him with each second he spent awake, causing him to tear up every so often.

The bathroom area had yellow caution tape all around indicating that perhaps sheriff Pete wasn't just all talk. Alistair snorted and rolled his dark hued eyes, looking around to see if anyone was watching him. He slowly walked around the area, careful not to mess with the tape or the area the said tape was enclosing. His eyes scanned the area slowly but steadily, wanting to drink in every small detail that the police possibly missed. The bathrooms were a huge grey concrete area with a section for men and women and a gender neutral bathroom. The roof was made of faded carmine bricks that looked like they were about to fall off and earn the city a lawsuit at any given moment.

Alistair grew frustrated with every minute that ticked by, not noticing anything the police already hadn't. He groaned, annoyed, and gripped his hair. "Goddammit!" He seethed. The dull pain in his chest that he had been feeling ever since he found out Alessandra was missing started to grow sharper causing him to hiss out in pain.

Alistair's phone suddenly rang, causing him to jump. He pulled his phone out of his pocket while mumbling under his breath that normal people don't call anymore, just text.

Farrah.

Alistair pursed his lips and answered. "Normal people just text, you know?" His deep voice answered without a greeting.

Farrah's twinkly laugh came through the phone. "We all know I'm not normal, Alistair."

"Okay, you got me there," Alistair hummed as he sat on the wet grass while facing the bathroom not caring how crazy he must've looked.

"Where did you go?" Farrah questioned cautiously, knowing Alistair had his fair share of outbursts especially during the current circumstances.

"I told you," Alistair grumbled with a slight attitude. "I'm going to do what they can't." He spat out. He knew the police were basically useless as of lately but with the recent events he was blown away. Alistair shut his eyes as he felt warm tears prick at them.
