Quick A/N regarding photo above: THATS HIS "SHE'S JUST A GOOD FRIEND FACE" He very obviously likes her back, thank you very much.

Your POV~
I immediately walked over to Nathaniel, my heart fluttering as I did so. I was mainly doing this to freak Mari out; I wasn't actually planning on telling Nathaniel I liked him. But my plot to fool her worked, because as I approached Nathaniel, she got up and awkwardly walked over to Adrien. I was shocked, and confused. But I kept going. Maybe she was actually about to tell him! Then I would have to! I would really have to either way. So. I did.

Nathaniel's POV~
I looked up from my conversation with Nino to see y/n walking over to me in a strange confident manner. Her face was red and she was looking in Mari's direction, but clearly walking towards me. I blushed and turned to Nino and shrugged. He smirked and turned to talk to someone else, leaving me practically alone with my crush. In that moment I knew that I had to tell her. Before the game of Paranoia, where my secret would likely be exposed anyways.

"Uhhh, hey! Nathaniel. Hi. Can I... Talk to you for a minute?" She asked.

"Uh-of course, what's up?" Remember, she's your best friend. No need to freak out.

"Well, there's something I wanted to tell you... But I might need a sec to think about how to say it." She said, breaking eye contact. She was probably going to tell me about Marinette. I could tell they had made up, and it was great to know that they were friends again.

The thing was, if she told me all this, and then I randomly changed the subject and flopped everything up... Well that would be bad. So I had to tell her first.

"Actually, while your thinking about it, could I tell you something?" I asked. My heart skipped a beat. I held my breath and cringed. I looked at her.

"Um, sure! Why not?" She answered. I released my breath. Okay. This is happening.

"Well, y/n, you know how we've been like best friends for over a year now?" She nodded, and turned a bit red. But I didn't really notice; my heart was pounding in my ears. "Becoming friends with you, I realized- well, I like you y/n. A lot. Like, as more than just friends, or best friends. And, um, I realize you might not feel the same, but-"

Your POV~
Oh. My. Gosh. No freaking way.

"Wait, seriously?! You're not messing around?" I blurted, then put my hands to my mouth.

"Uhh. No...? Wha-?" He stuttered, blushing and confused.

"Nathaniel! Nathaniel Kurtzberg! I like you too! Omg this is the best day ever!! I was literally about to tell you, but I didn't know how!" After saying all this, I realized how loud and ecstatic I sounded.

"I mean... Um. Sorry. Uhhh-"  I stammered, embarrassed. Then, Nathaniel stood up, and hugged me. I was bewildered, but I hugged him back. This time though, it wasn't a best-friend-hug. It was different. I smiled and let my head set on his shoulder. This day couldn't possibly get better.

He let me go, but knowing he felt the same way made me have a new kind of confidence. He kept a hand on my shoulder and looked me right in the eyes. I looked at the floor, blushing. I guess maybe not. Then it struck me.

Marinette! Crud, what happened with her? I turned over to where she and Adrien were. He had a hand on his neck, and was blushing.

"Uh, Nathaniel? Is it ok if I go check in with Marinette? I have a feeling she may have gotten herself into a bit of a mess." I asked.

"Of course, y/n," he said smiling. He sat down again and I took off to Marinette. As I approached them though, I noticed that she wasn't doing her crazy stuttering. She was actually listening to Adrien who was telling her something. I couldn't see her face though, so I couldn't tell if what he was saying was good or bad. I didn't want to interrupt so I looked around the room for Alya.

"Aha! Alya!" I ran over to the spot where I had left her. I probably seemed like a lunatic, running from here to there to here.

"Girl! What the heck just happened? What is happening?" She was frozen in place, eyes wide.

"Um, so I went over to Nathaniel, to freak Mari out and just to chat with him. But then I noticed that she went to Adrien, and I realized that she might be telling him! Which I didn't expect. So I was about to tell Nathaniel I like him, when he told me that he likes me!! And now Adrien and Marinette are talking and I don't know what's going on!" I explained.

"Wait, he told you first? Wow! Awesome! But- wait, Adrien and her are actually having a conversation? Huh. This whole thing is just... I did NOT expect either of you to do that so quickly!" Alya exclaimed. "What should we do?"

"What do you mean? We should wait for Mari to come over here. Yeah." I said, looking at Marinette and Adrien. I noticed that Nathaniel was excitedly telling Nino something. I blushed and smiled.

Marinette's POV~
As soon as Alya finished her little spiel, y/n smirked at me and sauntered RIGHT OVER TO NATHANIEL. I knew exactly what she was doing. And, remembering everything Alya said, I knew that today was the day. I had tried multiple times to confess my feelings to Adrien, in a note or through some other failed plan, but now it was serious. So, leaving Alya in the dust, I walked to Adrien. As I got closer, my heartbeat grew louder and louder until it was throbbing in my ears.

"Hey Marinette!" Adrien said casually, turning away from Kim and Max. Then in a quieter voice, "Thanks for saving me! This conversation is super boring." His little joke eased me a bit.

"Hi! And ummm, no problem! I- uh..."

"What's up?" His beautiful green eyes were completely on me and I could feel his gaze burning into my eyes. It was the scariest yet most peaceful split second of my life.

"Um. I had to tell you something important." Adrien nodded. I took a deep breath and organized all of my words so that I wouldn't screw up for once. "Do you remember the day that you and Kagami got onto the train to London, and I gave you that- that paper?" I asked.

He raise this eyebrows. "Um, yes?"

"Well, I actually gave you the wrong paper. I meant to give you a letter, but then... After I realized it, it was too late." I explained, stalling.

"Okay. That makes more sense. What did the letter say?" He asked.

"Um. Uhhh- It said... Well, it said that-" I held my breath and closed my eyes, praying that it would stop time.

"Marinette? Are you okay?" Adrien asked. I realized I was still holding my breath and my face was very red. I let go of the air and took a deep breath.

"The letter was a confession, of my- my love. I-I love you Adrien Agreste! And I know you love Kagami, but I had to tell you! I'm sorry!" I blurted, throwing my hands over my face. I did it. I said it. He heard me. He knows now.

"Kagami? No, I don't love Ka- wait...? You...? Um. I don't love Kagami. I actually... Well. I-" Adrien stuttered, blushing and rubbing the back of his neck.

"You... Don't?" I looked through my fingers. "Wait. Then who is 'the girl that you love'?" I asked.

"Well, it's kind of embarrassing. But I thought you loved Luka? Don't you?" He asked.

"No. Who is the girl?" I needed to know.

"Uhh. I guess you deserve to know. It's... Ladybug." He confessed, looking to the ground. My eyes widened in disbelief. If he loved Ladybug, then that meant...! Adrien Agreste loved me. Well, he loved the 'Ladybug' me. Not actually me-me. That changed everything.

"I'm sorry, Marinette. You are really amazing, you know? You are the kindest girl in our school, and you're super smart and helpful. If Ladybug wasn't around, then it would be different... I just can't imagine life without her. Just know that you're one of my best friends, okay?" He said gently. It made my heart flutter to hear all of those words. I was second to Ladybug, and Ladybug was me. So that meant that maybe he really could love me-me. I smiled, a little sadly.

"That's okay Adrien. That means a lot to me. I'm glad we can be friends." I said. He smiled sadly as I turned around and waved goodbye.

I knew what I had to do now.
