I get to the street on the other side of the alleyway. Where's the van? I can't see it because it's crowded. There it is next to the Honda! I try to follow it and keep a distance, I don't know what to do. I hope there's a cop around, then again what would I tell him?
I follow the van until it reached the north exit of the city. There's something definitely wrong here; the housing district is south. Shit, this is proof enough I've got to call the cops. I stop to the side of the road while still keeping the van at eye's notice. I take my phone out of my pocket. Fuck me! There's no battery! Shit! Maybe I should go to the cops I can turn around and but I don't know where the van is headed... Damn it I have no time. I start the engine again and I follow them.
I follow them for a while, keeping a distance so they won't notice. The more we move from the city the less cars are around and I have to keep a bigger distance. The van finally takes a right in a forested area which seems like a hidden road that people don't usually go to. I got to the turn a while after the van so I don't know if I can catch up. I increase my speed in the old road, it's narrow and there's no pavements separating the street from the forest. This road zig zags a lot which makes keeping this pace a lot harder, but I have to find that van. After a while I fnid two paths, which one did they take? I shut down the scooter, take a deep breath, and close my eyes. I just have to listen... It went right. I turn on the scooter and go right.
After what felt like an hour of speeding, the van sounds get closer the faster I go, I finally catch a glimpse of the van and I immediately turn to the forest so the people inside the van won't see me which lead me to barely keep balance. I tried slowing down but eventually I fell from the scooter. It hurts! Fuck! No time for that I got to follow them!
I try standing but my leg hurts but that doesn't stop me. I ride it slowly in the forest area so I won't trip again. It's getting dark I hope I arrive soon because I don't think I can keep up if it gets too dark. And it's uneven. I wish I can switch to the street but they might see me.
Finally I reach, what looks like an abandoned warehouse. I stop where I was hidden by the forest which is far from the warehouse because the trees around the warehouse were all cut and the radius of cut trees was big.
I see one van parked next to the warehouse and people are getting out of it and are being lead to the warehouse, I'm so far I can't see them very clearly. They all go inside the big rusty orange door. Okay, this is definitely not normal, I should go to the cops... after I scout first. I really don't want to know what my dad would say if he knew what I was doing right now.
I leave Stacy's scooter at the place where I stopped and I try to go around the warehouse to get a grasp of its structure of this place. Shit my leg hurts but I got to do this, I just have to crouch then I'll feel less pain that way. I wished I was wrong and that this was me being paranoid but this is weird. Shit, these guys are criminals. I need to go back to get the cops... but I need to get a closer look to see if I can get more details. As I am going around this warehouse I notice that it's really big and from what I can see from the triangular ceiling that a big portion of it is glass. I continue to go around until I reached the back of the warehouse and I think there's a back door in the left corner on the wall opposite to the main entrance, and there's an obvious room next to it. Okay this is good information, this might be useful to tell the police. Maybe I should take a quick look to check about this place up close. Okay, here I go. I try to crawl as quickly as I can. Shit, if they find me or open the back door I'm screwed, I have to be quicker. I stand and endure my legs pain and try to make a quick sprint and stand next to the door. Shit, my heart won't stop racing. This is stupid, too crazy, I should just quit while I'm ahead... but I can't leave Stacy if she is here.
I take a look at the door, it was practically open. I try to take a quick peak to see what's going on, I have to hold my breath. I take a deep breath and look through the slightly open part of the door. I see six, no seven men, two of them coming from the room next me. My heart almost stopped but I held every instinct to run at that moment and just continued watching. the two men are headed to the center of the warehouse and the rest are already in the center of the warehouse in the most visible spot in the building under the place where the roof glass is broken. They looked a little old, mid-30s maybe. They were talking about something intense but my heartbeats were so loud that I couldn't hear them. I returned to hiding in the corner to catch another breath and take another look. This time they were leaving through the main entrance, all of them.
