RYANS POV

It was finally Friday. Brendon invited me over to his house after school, and I was pumped. It was lunch time, the best part of the school day.

Bren and I sat at our table that we regularly sat in before the incident. Gee and Frank were probably off in a bathroom blowing each other off. Brendon was sitting on my lap, twirling his fingers through my hair. I like when he does that. I calms me. I noticed a girl walking towards us. I didn't recognize her. She seemed nervous. Brendon looked over at the newcomer. He arched a brow and smiled warmly.

"Uhm, hi." The girl smiled shyly. "I hope I'm not interrupting." She chuckled awkwardly and looked to Bren. "I was wondering if I could get your number?" She shifted her weight shyly. Something strange happened as she asked him for his number. I felt some sort of twinge of pain in my side. Ouch. Why do I resent her? She seems sweet, but I don't like her. Bren nodded slowly and held out his hand for her phone. He quickly put it in and handed it back. She smiled.

"I'll text you," and with that, she skipped away. I glared at the retreating girl. Bren looked back at me.

"Why the angry face?" He furrowed his brows. I looked at him.

"No reason, just thinking." I threw on a false smile. He nodded and dug his face into my chest.

"I think he's jealous." Dallon piped in. I laughed nervously. That couldn't be. Right? I don't like Bren. That's weird.

Brendon chuckled and brushed the idea away as quickly as it had been brought up. I sighed, not wanting to think that was the feeling I felt as she asked him for his contact info.

The lunch bell rang and we all got up and split our own ways. I made my way to my last class, excited for later today.

-

I sat in the last class without paying attention for half the class period. My thoughts were undisturbed up until then. Unfortunately, someone decided to wreck my peaceful thinking.

"Yo, Ryan. Bet you're thinking about how much you love your little Brendon. How you want to fuck him till he can't mo-" I turned to face the ruthless brat. I glared.

Suddenly, I relaxed my face. I decided to play along.

"Sure am," I smiled slightly. He made a face of disgust and retreated back to his seat. Others made remarks such as gross. or what the fuck. I just smiled to myself as the stupid people struggled to figure out if what I had just agreed with was a joke or serious. It was a joke. Obviously. Right?
