Rachel
Once I was inside, I saw Teagen with his shoes on.
"A-are you leaving?" I had asked him.
"Of course not, we're going to my place tonight."
"You really think that's smart bec-"
"He isn't home. I promise."
I nodded. I briefly talked about Justin earlier. When I tell you I'm scared of him I mean he actually is a psychopath and he actually abused me.
Keep note of this, because this is why this novel was put together.
Teagen led me to his car with his hand on my back, not low near my but and not high by my neck. He had it in my mid-back where it was a comforting lead. He opened the car door and then closed me in, appearing at the other side at the driver's side. Oh, and I forgot to mention, yes, I did lock my house and bring my phone and a charger and that good stuff, I'm not stupid.
The ride there was silent, I just stared out the window.
When we arrived I knew the way in. They always left the side door open to their house, and it was the quietest door in the house, so nobody would wake up whenever I snuck in. Now that doesn't matter though. Oops did I just spoil my own book?
His whole family was out that night so the house was ours.
I curled onto the couch and Teagen sat beside me.
"You look like you're gonna-" Teagen started. I burst into tears. "-cry."
I was bawling my eyes out in front of a hot guy. But I'm not a baby who needs comforting so I wiped my eyes. "I'm great, I just... my dad isn't always around." Even though I was drunk I could resist spilling the whole truth.
"Yeah, I get that. It's okay to talk to me, you know, I know it doesn't seem like it and I can't explain how I understand but I do. You can trust me."
"Thanks, I guess."
"Stop saying that, you don't have to put on your mean girl mask in front of me."
"It isn't a mask this is me." At the time I didn't understand him, but I would.
"Never mind," He said as he sat next to me on the couch. "What do you want to watch?"
We decided to watch High School Musical since he's never seen it.
"This is stupid," He says as Stick to the Status Quo was playing. But my previous intoxication left me passed out on his shoulder. He smiled at my sleeping face and turned the TV off. He slowly and carefully set me down on the couch and pulled a blanket over me so I wouldn't get cold. By the way, this is what I assume happened because obviously I was asleep. Duh.
Then I assume he went to bed in his room because when I woke up the next morning at approximately 8:00 am he was making breakfast.
The date is August 31st, just so you know.
His back was turned to me so he didn't see me wake up. I got up and walked up beside
him. "What are you making?" I asked.
"Rachel, it's nice to see you again." He turns his head and I very quickly realized that this wasn't Teagen, this was somebody very different.
"Justin... I-I thought you were Teagen, where is he?"
"I thought you ruled the school, mean girl. Why are you so afraid?"
"Justin, stop, where is Teagen?"
