Harry Potter
During the war Harry dies. When he is at Kings Cross station he is given a few choices. Wake up, die, or be reincarnated into the past. Harry chooses to be reincarnated into the past and his vision is filled with black.
When he wakes up he is in the body of a kitten. As he grows for a few years he discovers that he has retained his magic when he has a bout of accidental magic. Eventually he is picked up by a shelter and lives there for a few weeks.
One day a small girl with bushy brown hair bounces in with her parents behind her. Harry looks at her and feels that he knows this girl. In a few minutes of looking around the girl and her parents come to where he is on the top of the scratch post. As the girl's eyes stare at him in wonder Harry recognizes the girl. It's Hermione! Hermione reaches out her hand tentatively and Harry pushes his head into it in joy. He found one of his friends! He can protect them once more! In the end Harry goes home with the Granger's.
When they get home Harry is given the name Harry conveniently they chill for a while.
When Hermione goes to Hogwarts she brings Harry with her.
