Chapter 3 - Welcome Back To Gravity Falls

DIPPER
I feel someone shaking me awake.

"5 more minutes." I mumble. Trying to go back asleep.

"If you don't get up, I'm making you walk the way back yourself!" Mable yells at me. I get up instantly.

"I'm up! I'm up!" I tell her. She smiles at me. We were playing her favorite songs. Then, we drive past the sign. Gravity Falls. We are in Gravity Falls. I look over to Mabel. She's smiling.

"We are in Gravity Falls Mable!" I shout happily. Her smiles grows as we drive more in. It's been awhile since I seen my sister smile this big. We drive through the town. I roll down my window. Everyone we knew grew.

"Dipper and Mabel are back!" Grenda yells.

"Hey! It's been awhile!" Mabel shouts back. She stops the car. Mabel runs out of the car and hugs Grenda.

"Mabel, you guys staying the whole summer?" Grenda wonders. Mabel looks over to me. I smile at her.

"Yes we are. That's why we are here!" I tell them both. I mean, it's like I have friends back at home. They both smile at me. They run up to me and hug me.

"Now let's go see Grunkle Stan and Grunkle Ford." I tell them both. Mabel and I start going back to the car but Grenda doesn't.

"What is it Grenda?" Mable wonders. We look at her.

"You guys don't know do you?" She worried. This is scaring me and Mabel. 

"What happen!?" We asked. Grenda takes a huge breath.

"They.... Stan is dying... slowly." She tells us. Mabel falls to her knees and starts crying.

"Mabel..." I go over to her and hug her. Mabel starts to sob a little. Grenda gives us a hug.

"I'm sorry. I should've called you guys but I couldn't." She tells us. I shake my head.

"It's our fault for not keeping touch like we promised." I tell her. Now Grenda starts to cry. Everyone starts to watch. Are they thinking I made them cry?

"L-Let's go in the car." I said softly. They get up and gets inside the car. I start driving towards the mystery shack.

"Dipper what did you to make two girls cry?" Wendy asks me. I sighed loudly.

"Like I said. I didn't do it. It was about Grunkle Stan and Ford. Not me." I tell Wendy. She laughs a little.

"Don't worry. I'm kidding." She tells me. She gives me a hug.

"Welcome back to Gravity Falls." She tells me. I hug her back. I smile a little. "Have grown taller than me now that I think about it."

We pull away to see our height different. It was true. I was taller than her. I guess the last 2 years I grown taller. She puts her elbow on my shoulder.

"I didn't think I see the day you grow a little more taller than me." Wendy tells me.

" I think Mabel is about your height." I tell Wendy. Wendy looks at her.

" I get the feeling that Mabel had a boyfriend and they broke up?" Wendy asks. I look at her. She looks at me. How did she know that?

"How can you see that? How did you know about that?" I asked her.

"Girls sometimes knows what's wrong with one another. Grenda hasn't notice but I have. I was like Mabel once. Smiling like everything was fine. We just need time for ourselves. Wendy smiles at me and goes to the girls.

"Dipper!" Mabel shouts. I look at her wondering what's up.

"I'm gonna take a walk into the woods. By myself." She tells me. I look over the Wendy. She nods her head  for me to say yes.

"Go ahead. Be back soon okay?" I asked her. She nods her head and starts walking. Now for  me to unpack both our things! Yay...

MABEL
I start heading towards the woods. Deeper in. I take out my phone and call someone. It keeps on ringing.

"Why can't you pick up the dang phone!?" I pouted a little. "I taught you how during the year!" I shout a little. Then they finally pick up.

"Hello?" They yawn a little. I sighed a little. I bet they just woke up.

"Where are you?" I asked. Probably where they always are.

"Where I always will be." They grin. I stop walking.

*Sigh* " Good bye. My brother and I won't be seeing you until summer ends." I said. Before I could hang up.

"Wait! Stay where you are. I'll come to you." They tell me.

"Good." I said. I hear them sigh a little.

"Dipper doesn't remember you." I tell them. I hear a sad sigh. They hang up.

"Thanks,  Mabel." They tell me. I look behind me.

"Hey." I smile at them.

"Welcome Mabel. Welcome back to Gravity Falls." They tell me.

"Thanks, Bill Cypher."
