Chapter 5 

After a long weekend of work I was none to happy to awake to a buzzing alarm clock. I reached my hand over and tried to hit the snooze but I couldn't find the clock. I reached over more and still no clock. Eventually I stretched too far over and fell off the edge of the bed. I hit the back of my head on the hardwood floor. 

"Ooooo," I groaned as I sat up off the floor and anticipated an oncoming headache. I looked over at the clock and saw that it is 7:47 am, which meant my alarm had been going off for 2 hours. "Omg!" I jumped up and slid on my black, blue, and white plaid pajama pants, not bothering for a shirt, and ran down the hall screaming, "ANNA GET UP YOUR GONNA BE LATER THAN YOU ALREADY AR--........" I stared into her empty bedroom. I rushed down stairs only to find a note on the door that said-- 

Dear Silly Eddy, 

I got a ride to school from Jacob Anderson down the street. Next time you go to work make sure you don't stress your self too much. I love you Eddy.

I sighed and chuckled a little before I headed to the bathroom and took a cold shower. I've never liked warm water; just the feel of it in the air makes me unbelievably upset and uncomfortable.

I got out of the shower and went into my closet to grab some clothes to wear to school. Despite all my working last weekend I somehow managed to finish my homework accurately. 

I grabbed a pair of skinny jeans which I rarely wore, and a grey Garfield shirt with black high top chuck Taylor's. I walked into the bathroom and ruffled my shaggy hair some more, then just stared into the mirror.  

"Aren't you ashamed? How can you just treat yourself like this, huh?" My eyes scanned my face looking for some type of answer but silence was the only response. I sighed then left my room grabbing my backpack on the way out. I checked the doors and windows to make sure they were all locked. I left the house making sure the spare key was under the bushes for Anna when she came home and locked the front door. I made my way to my 2001 Ford.  

It wasn't the best car but it got the job done. I really should get a more updated one. Lol. I drove the hour and a half to the university. I live so far to protect my reputation from my job but that didn't work at all; people still found out and because Anna's school was close by. When I finally arrived I parked in my usual spot way in the back.  

I didn't park there so my car wouldn't get damaged, but because I could be far from the jerks that parked up front. Don't disregard me for a wimp. I kick ass and won't hold back.

Before I could make it up the first flight of stairs.... "Hey fag." I heard an all too familiar and annoying voice call. I turned around and see Chester and his friends smirking. His girlfriend Reyna looked at him upset. 

"Hey dumb bitch," I said back naturally. We had been at it for years and all the insults just seemed to be a daily habit; a really bad daily habit. 

"You make my money dis weekend, hoe!?" he chuckled and I just rolled my eyes. Reyna punched him in the arm and jumped down from the railing they were seated on and walked to me, grabbing my hand. 

"Come on baby, get back over here," Chester said and patted his lap invitingly. 

"No thank you," She said and pulled me to our first class. "I'm sorry for his stupidity. I hate when he acts homophobic."

I know what you might be thinking, but no we are not involved or even friends. She was just Chester's girlfriend, who apparently hated homophobes. 

"It's fine. It doesn't bother me after five years." I said with a polite smile. 

"Let me make it up to you. You have a little sister right? " she said very cheerfully. 

"Ummm, yeah I do. Why?" I asked a little curious. 

"Let me make dinner." She stated very excitedly and anxious. Normally I would have said no but she was always nice and completely respectful to everyone.

"Sure, thanks. How about tomorrow?" I said giving her directions. Anna would love the female company for once. It should be very fun for her.
