It was cold in the Castle's prison.
Izuku Midoriya was curled up in the corner of his room - well, cell - upon the straw-mattress of the single bed.
He wore nothing but his navy blue trousers, and was barefooted.

There was a fist-shaped dent in the plain white wall near to the door.

The green-haired male shivered not only with cold, but shook with tears as they warmed his cheeks. He rocked back and forth in the corner, wrapping the thin blanket tightly around him as he held one arm close to his bare chest - it was completely destroyed.

The forearm was swollen with purple and green blotches, and his wrist stuck out at an odd angle, as did his fingers. It was as if all the bones had been shattered. The skin around his wrist - and the Bonding bracelet that was fused there - was puckered and mangled, yet to scab over so the flesh was still raw from being badly burnt.

Endeavour really had tried everything to pry it off.

It had been a painful ordeal, a memory that Izuku knew was now permanently branded in his brain.

But at that moment he only had one thing on his mind.

The large square building and its surroundings were silent apart from the occasional call of an owl or whistle of the wind, so as he called out, his cracking, shallow voice reverberated about the cell.

'Shouto....'

A/N: Just so you know how Izuku's doing and to make you readers sad ;) I'm sorry.
