Sometimes things don't go as planned cause better plans are on the way

Carlson's pov

Thank god they have finally showed up. It took all my energy to bring those companies together. The only reason Barneys has not fallen yet is due to the funds and sponsors.
Most of my life works are solely given only for this company. I would not appreciate if this fall down.
I was first shocked to know that the companies have finally agreed on meeting us. Everyone is smooth about this except for the white mountainers. They never show up.
Today they surprised me. They have bought their boss here. It is she for sure.
I glanced down at my engagement ring. I proposed the love of my life last week and she said yes. I smiled at the thought. Her reaction was priceless.
Just as I was about to call my PA. Ariana entered.
"Sir. They are waiting for you." She smiled.
"Wish me luck Ari. " I saw her beaming. She is more like a sister I never had. She gave me a two thumbs up encouragingly.

I walked past the halls toward the meeting hall. I entered in with my million dollar smile. As soon as I entered. The air inside shifted. I don't know how but it did. Suddenly the whole room is filled with the most intoxicating smell. Lavender and wet soil after a rain. I mean what kind of a air freshner is that.
Then I was met with the most exoting eyes in the world. Hazel more like gold.
Gorgeous. Her face. Her lips. Her eyes. Most importantly her hair. She look like an angel. 
What am I even thinking?

Still I can't look anywhere else but her.
Her skin is gleaming. And she is staring back. My heart made a very disturbing dance move.

I soon looked away.

Staring at another woman rather than my fianceé is something I don't appreciate. But for some unknown reason I can't control it.

"Urmm..  Uhumm.. Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen. I am Carlson Slith, as you know as the CEO of Barney's and sons." Accidently I made eye contacts with those gold eyes again. To my surprise she was still staring back at me. It took all out of me to continue my speech without stuttering.
Actually it was a thanksgiving speech I practised all night. So it came out more as memorised words.

After my speech each and every company present was starting to introduse themselves. Half of my attention is already stolen by the beauty infront of me. I squeez my eyes shut and took a deep breathe.
Carl concentrate, she is just a girl with beautiful eyes and that's it. Stop thinking about her.

"I am Alissay Kruthern, Owner of the white mountain pvt. It's an honour to be here. My company is never something I would merge with any others but, for the first time I am willing to coperate with Barnaey's as per Mr. Slith's request."
Music. That's what I heard. Her voice is like honey. Her lips.. Omg I can't even take my eyes off her. Her perfect shape up body. Suddenly I didn't want her to be so exposed infront these men. Even they give her same attention. And it is bothering me alot. Unknowingly I stood up so fast that it got everyone to stare at me even the angel infront of me.
"Thank you all for coperating with us please do remain for the small thank you party held downstairs. Enjoy the day please."
I gave her one last look and out of the hall I went.

My phone started to ring out of the blue. When I read who it is. It is guilt what is killing me right now.

Celine.

I answered the call.
"Hey babe."
She giggled back. "Hey,  How's your day." I relaxed and smiled. But out of nowhere I heard a growl. It took me by surprise I turned quick but found no one.

Strange.

Things are working out pretty cool. I was actually glad that gave this company a chance. Everyone wad having fun except the angel who caught me staring then and there.

She seemed very exotic in her outfit. For some strange reason I didn't like men who were staring her. It's making me impatient. Not that I have something for her. But there seems to be something I cannot just explain.

Chris that darn pervert is always trying to hit on her but eventually giving up because of her bodygaurds. Whenever I see them standing as a sheild around her, it gives me some kind of a pride. And I just met them.

The guy with a lot of tattoo seems to have a very close connection with the lady. She talks very slowly but attentive about her surrounding. It feels like she is highly on alert but, why? I have no idea.
At the very moment she gave me a look. She looked at me as if she was hurt. It broke my heart. She soon recovered herself and looked away.

I am going crazy. It's either the way she looks at me or the way she's making me feel.

This is so wrong. I am having somekind of an infactuation towards her. This is not even possible.

For christ's sake I'm already engaged. Darn it.
