The girl surveyed them, her golden eyes flickering along with the lights. In the back of Loki's mind, he wondered how they were even still functioning. A bigger part of him went into defense mode and he pulled a dagger out of its sheath, hidden deep inside his clothes, its polished black blade glinting in the dim light.

"No need to get violent, Loki." She said, smiling at him. Loki bared his teeth. He could tell that something was off about her. All angles of her seemed to hold some dark secret.

"What are you doing here, Irpa?" Loki asked, still holding his knife. Landon and London just stood there, expressions of pure shock on their faces.

"I don't want to interrupt this," London started. "But who is Loki? That's Larry. And why in the world do you have a knife?" Her voice rose a bit.

"Shut your mouth." Loki hissed at her. Since he looked angry and was holding a knife, London shut her mouth.

"Larry? Who came up with that one?" Irpa asked.

"Hammerhead over here did," Loki answered, nodding his head towards Thor. No hint of amusement penetrated his voice. "You've been avoiding the question though, why are you here?"

"I heard what Odin did and I think it's horribly unfair. I want to help you get back to Asgard." Irpa told Loki. Loki had to resist the urge to roll his eyes. That was a blatant lie and poorly thought out at that.

Loki looked over at Thor. He hadn't said anything, which was unusual for someone like Thor. Thor was frozen, his bright blue eyes slightly glazed over. Loki knew that look well. He had seen Thor glancing at the women on Asgard before, but this was more intense. Well, this was just great. Loki had never seen the point of being in love or even liking a person. It just took too much time and energy, and usually didn't end well for either person involved. He was quite destructive when it came to relationships. Loki nudged Thor with his shoulder and he seemed to snap out of it for a second.

"What?" He asked Loki, his eyes still locked on Irpa. Loki nudged him again. He didn't look away. Loki glared at Thor out of the corner of his eye and gave up.

"We're fine, thanks," Loki replied. "Go back to Asgard."

"Asgard? Odin? Who are you guys?" Landon asked. His brown eyes were still blown wide with shock. Loki hoped his head wouldn't explode from the amount of shock he was experiencing, it would take a long time to clean up.

"Be quiet." He snapped at Landon. Irpa still hadn't moved, and Loki took a few steps closer to her. His emerald green eyes flashed with restrained fury.

"Loki..." Thor seemed to have snapped out of it for the moment and was trying to calm Loki just as Loki had tried to calm Thor hours ago. Loki ignored Thor. He tried to flip his knife to his other hand but Thor grabbed it in midair.

"I will not hesitate to send you back bleeding," Loki hissed. His voice was different from the silky undertones it usually held, it was hard and bitter, and his words stung like venom. "Even without magic, I am capable of inflicting damage enough to hurt a goddess."

Irpa took a step back. She might have been taller and better equipt to fight, but Loki's silver tongue was known throughout the nine realms and anyone who knew of its fame knew of its horror. She was no exception. A flash of light later, and she was gone. Loki's eyes still held a terrifying rage, but it had lessened slightly with his outburst. He turned to the twins.

"Do not speak of this to anyone." Landon nodded frantically, making his way out of the house as fast as he could. London turned and glanced back when she was out in the yard. Her hair flashed as she turned and ran towards her brother.

"Loki," Thor began.

"I do not want to hear it." Loki walked towards the back of the tiny house, opened the first door he saw and slammed it behind him. The lights flickered and went out finally. Thor stood in the dark, hands by his sides, stomach still turning backflips.

"Dang it." He muttered.
