Not long after Loki stormed off into his own room, Thor explored just enough to find his own room. It was so small it almost looked like a closet. The only furniture in the room was a small creaky bed and a dead plant in a pot. The entire floor was caked in dust as well as the bed. Only one window was located in the room and it was stuck halfway open. The cold night air drifted in through the open window and made the room feel like a walk-in freezer. Thor sighed and flopped on the dust-covered bed, knowing there was no chance he was going to fall asleep. So many thoughts and regrets ran through his mind and he couldn't manage to hold back his emotions any longer. Tears ran down his face and low sobs slipped past his lips. Laying in the darkness on his bed, Thor, the god of thunder, sobbed and cried.
When the sun rose in the morning Thor found himself sprawled across the bed with his arm hanging off the side. The cool morning breeze blew through the window and sent a shiver down Thor's spine. The sun blasted through the window and heated the room like a greenhouse effect. Thor could hear banging and thumping from somewhere in the house and he got up to investigate. Exploring the house, Thor found Loki in the kitchen cooking something flat and round on a pan. Loki saw him but didn't look up from what he was doing.
"What is that?" Thor asked, examining the object and the way Loki flipped it over. Loki rolled his eyes and continued flipping. It was only when he finished flipping them all individually that he actually answered.
"They're pancakes, you uncultured idiot," Loki replied. He didn't seem as angry as he was last night but there was still some tense air between him and Thor. The delicious smell of pancakes filled the air and made Thor feel all warm and tingly inside. Thor sat at the table in the kitchen that also apparently doubled as a dining room.
"Where did you find the stuff to make that?" Thor questioned as if this was an interrogation. Loki looked up from what he was doing to look at his friend's serious face. Thor did not like the look on Loki's face. "Loki quit playing with me. Where did you get the things to make those pancakes or whatever you called them."
"I would love to say it was magic but your father kind of stripped us of that." A mischievous smile spread across Loki's face but Thor remained serious. "Fine, I took it from Landon and London's house."
"They gave you ingredients to cook with? That's wonderful! What nice people." Thor looked satisfied for about one second before he realized exactly what Loki had said. He pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. Even without powers, Loki was a deceptive thief. Stealing food from a neighbor's house because they didn't have any was exactly something that Loki would do and had done more than one time.
"Well, it wasn't exactly gifted to me if you know what I mean." He chuckled to himself while taking the pancakes off the pan. "And it wasn't easy either. Sneaking around people used to be so much easier when I actually had powers."
"Wait, you took their stuff while they were still in the house?" Thor scolded, standing up from his chair. Loki laughed and nodded slightly. "You are truly a psycho," he said, grabbing a pancake of the hot griddle. As soon as the heat kicked in Thor yelped in pain and dropped the pancake on the floor. Loki laughed and continued cooking. Before either of them could do anything, loud screams of distress filled the air. Not two seconds later London and Landon burst through the front door and ran inside. Landon tripped and lagged behind a bit. No one had time to react before three men came running in. They were all tall and very lean. Each one of them was armed with either a knife or a sword. A man with a dagger went after Landon with a slicing attack. Thor grabbed the spatula of the counter and deflecting the attack before the knife could touch Landon. Loki grabbed his knife and joined the battle. A man with two katanas aimed to attack London but Loki jumped on his back and they both tumbled backward. While on the man's back Loki grabbed one of his katanas and pressed it against the man's neck. The Katana Man froze, fully aware of the advantage Loki had.
"Any last words?" Loki whispered eerily into the man's ear. The man muttered something in a language that Loki didn't understand. Rolling his eyes, Loki stepped back and used the katana to slice the man's head clean off his body. London lay on the ground, staring at Loki with both amazement and terror. Meanwhile, Thor was fighting two guys with a spatula to protect Landon from getting his face chopped off. Thor smacked one of the guys in the head with the handle and knocked him out. The other guy didn't mind if he was outnumbered and drew a sword from its sheath. Thor and Loki stood side by side holding the weapons, ready to strike. The man threw several strong attacks at Loki but he deflected with the katana. Thor attempted to hit him with the spatula but the man saw it coming and attacked. The man cut a big slice of Thor's arm off and fell to the ground. Loki looked shocked but stayed focused. They went back and forth switching between attacking and deflecting attacks until the man finally managed to disarm Loki. The katana went flying across the other side of the room and landed on the floor with a clang. The man went to strike but before the sword could hit Loki, a blinding light appeared one again. When the light went away Irpa stood holding the hilt of the man's sword that was not running through his entire body. Loki let out a breath of both anger and relief. Irpa let go of the sword and turned to Loki.
"Still want me to go back to Asgard?" She asked in a sweet but slightly mocking tone. Loki ignored Irpa and dropped to his knees next to Thor. A slice of his arm was missing and blood flowed out of the wound like a waterfall. Thor was no longer conscious from loss of blood. London and Landon were still laying on the floor too shocked to move or even breath. Irpa kneeled next to him and placed a hand over the wound. A bright light shone from under her hand and when she moved it the wound was gone and Thor began to stir. His eyes fluttered open and he looked around, confused.
"What are you doing back here, Irpa?" Loki growled, glaring at her with a burning hatred. Irpa stoop up and placed her hands on her hips.
"Your welcome for saving you and Thor." She replied. Loki scoffed and helped Thor up from the ground. Landon carefully got up, avoiding eye contact with anyone. London attempted to get up but when she did pain flared in her ankle and she fell back down onto her butt. Loki noticed this and kneeled beside her. Even the soft touch of his hand made her yip in pain. A frown spread across his face.
"It's broken." He said, looking up at London's face. She wore an expression of pain and sadness. Loki turned to Irpa and grabbed the collar of her shirt. "Heal her or I will personally cut off all your limbs." Irpa made a funny face at him and lightly shoved him away. Kneeling next to London, Irpa placed a hand on her ankle. No light showed up this time, only an awkward silence. When Irpa removed her hand the injury was still there.
"It didn't work..." She said with a confused expression on her face. Landon kneeled next to his sister and patted her back to reassure her. "I never realized it before but I think my magic only works on Asgardians."
"Then why were you able to heal Thor? We don't have our magic anymore." Loki asked playfully punching him on the arm. Irpa stood up and began pacing. She looked both confused and unhappy.
"No one can completely strip someone of all their powers. Odin only took away the powers you currently have access to." She began pacing faster spilling her thoughts to them. "Which means when you are able to access your other powers you haven't unlocked yet...You should be able to go back to Asgard."
