No One's POV

A boy walked down the busy streets of Queens in a hurry. He carried a large school bag, stumbling a bit due to the heavy weight. His curly mob of hair bounced off his face, his glasses reflecting the sunlight. He continued rushing down the sidewalk until a tall building looms in sight. Words are engraved into the side of the building: SHIELD Academy.

He was walking to his home room when he saw a familiar person. He immediately ducked his head low and kept quiet, hoping his bully would ignore him, but his hope was shattered when a voice shouted,"Oi! Nerd!" He sighed, a shiver ran down his spine. Would he spare me if I gave him today's lunch money? The boy sighed once more and made his way towards his bully. "H-Hey Brian..." he said with fear in his eyes, beads of sweat running down his forehead. "Hey Bruce! How's your summer?" replied Brian in a fake cheery tone. He then smirked evilly, then leaned down and whispered in his ear,"You know the drill..." Bruce shivered in fear and stuttered," Wi-Will my lun-lunch money b-be enough?" Brian just sneered at him and punched his gut. Bruce groaned in pain and onto the floor. He braced himself for another hit, but after a few seconds, no pain came...

He slowly opened his eyes, and was surprised to find a girl standing between him and Brian, her fiery red hair glimmering in the sunlight, face emotionless. She then proceeded to do a roundhouse kick, successfully knocking the bully off his feet. Badass... Bruce sat on the ground, staring at his saviour, totally dumb-struck. Brian slowly got up, glaring at the girl with hate in his eyes. He was about to hit her when the school bell rang, signalling the start of lessons.

"You better watch out girly,"he sneered, then turned his glare on Bruce and said,"You got lucky this time nerd." Brian then started to rush to his home room, afraid of being late. Bruce sighed in relief, then turned to the girl and stuttered out a "Th-Thanks!" The girl didn't respond, just continued to stare at him with her emotionless green eyes. Bruce gulped, feeling extremely intimidated.

"U-Ummm...I don't think I h-have ever seen you ar-around before...What i-is your name?" The girl just kept staring. Bruce shuffled his feet,"M-My name is Bru-Bruce Banner...?" She continued to stare at him for a moment, then turned around to walk away. Bruce sighed in disappointment, wondering why did he ever have hope. Just then, her voice drifted through the hallway to him,"Natasha, Natasha Romanoff." Bruce turned around quickly, watching her walking down the hallway with a shocked expression on his face. However, he didn't saw Natasha's smirk.

Step one is a success...
