Recap from last chapter...

Bruce finally arrives at the park, and starts to walk around looking for Natasha. However, after searching for a while, he still isn't able to find Natasha among the little crowd in the park. 'Huh...That's strange. She said she would be around the entrance?' Bruce thinks, confusion clearly on his face.

After a while of failed search, he decides to go deeper inside the park. He walks  around the park, and without realising, he is at a quiet corner of the park. There are no people around, even the animals are quiet. Deciding that Natasha probably isn't here, he starts to turn around and go back the way he came when suddenly...

THUD!

Something hard hits Bruce's head, and he can't even manage to shout for help before a hand covers his mouth, preventing him from doing so. He feels himself being lifted gently, and the last thing he heard before blacking out completely is Natasha's voice, laced with infinite sadness, whispering a soft apology to him:

"I am sorry, Bruce..."

Bruce's POV

I wake up in a daze, slowly opening my eyes. Huh... What just happened...? I look around at my surroundings. I am in a dark room, the only source of light being a small window. I jump as high as I can, trying to reach for it but unluckily, it is too high. Besides, the window is too small for me to escape from wherever I am trapped in.

Suddenly, I feel my head throb painfully, and I instinctively reach for my wound. I grit my teeth hard, squeezing my eyes shut as the pain slowly subsides. I am surprised to see that someone has dressed my wound and patched me up.

Speaking of which, what happened?

As I reach into my memories, the recent events start to come back to me... A text message, meeting at Central Park, wandering around the park, and...

NATASHA!

I widen my eyes at the sudden revelation: Natasha is the one who brought me here! Or more specifically, KIDNAPPED me here. An overwhelming sadness followed by hurt and anger surge through me at once, the stinging feeling of being betrayed. Why would she do that? And here I thought we were friends! I would have trusted her with my life. It didn't seem right, the Natasha I know would never do such a thing. Unless it was all an act...?

Deciding that I should probably find a way to escape before the situation gets worse, I start to look for a door. And... yep, there it is, a rusty metal door at the far corner of the room. Pushing away my dizziness, I walk over and inspect the door. I push and pull it a few times, using all the strength I can muster. Nope. It isn't budging.

After a few more tries, which ultimately failed, I finally lose my patience. That's it. It is time to face my wrath, stupid door! I jog backwards in a starting run, then speed up and slam my entire body towards the door.

BAM!!! I groaned as I collapsed onto the floor, laying sideways against the cold, hard texture. Ouch...what a tough door! And it even looked rusty... guess I shouldn't have judged a book by its cover.

However, after wallowing in how pitiful I must seem, laying injured on the icy floor with no idea where I am; I pushed myself into a sitting position, ignoring the groan of protest from my muscles. I can hear a few people outside shouting, and quick footsteps heading towards me. I can't help but smirk. Well, I guess I got myself some attention. Maybe that slam was worthwhile.
