It was the second day at Riverdale High. Because of the events that happened last night, Peter was put on the map more than he could've imagined. He was frankly terrified of that. Peter knew what could happen if anyone got close to him. Peter made his way through the hallways in his school with a big grin on his face. He headed to his locker and on his way he bumped into MJ.
Peter just shrugged and continued walking to class with Mj. Peter sat down at his desk and turned to get his books out of his bag. When Peter turned again to put them on the table he saw Betty standing in front of his desk. Peter jumped a little but then put his books on the table.
"Hey! How's your eye?" Betty asked him a bit concerned.
"Oh, It's getting better." Peter said calmly.
They both just stood there looking at each other for a bit.
"So.. uh Veronica and I are going to Pop's later if you and Ned want to join us?"Betty broke the silence.
"Pop's?" Peter wondered.
"It's like a diner. They have the best milkshakes. Tonight at 6?"
"We'll be there." Peter smiled at her and she walked to her desk.
Peter's just staring at her from behind until eventually he was lost in thought.
"Hey man!" Ned said loudly when next to Peter once again making him jump.
"You guys have to stop doing that!" Peter said.
"Do what?" Ned asked.
"Doesn't matter. By the way Betty and Veronica invited us to a diner tonight at 6." Peter told Ned.
Ned looked at him hesitantly and sat down on his chair.
"And we're going because...?" Ned wondered.
"Because I already told them we're coming." Peter said trying to avoid eye contact with Ned.
"Dude!" Ned yelled!
"Ssshh. What?" Peter asked looking at Ned.
"Admit it. You only want to go because you like Betty."
"What? No!" Peter said.
"Dude it's okay. It was only a matter of time before you turn into the Peter with a hopeless crush." Ned said smirking.
"I... what? And also what do you mean by Peter with a hopeless crush?" Peter wondered.
"Well you went after Liz and Mj and look how that worked out."
"First of all, Mj and I decided it was best to stay as friends and second of all Liz's dad tried to kill me! Many times!" Peter said almost shouting out that last part but then looked at the students passing their desk.
