Don and Meryl had an amazing night of sleep after their wonderful date night, and they couldn't believe that Henry even let them sleep in. They figured it was because he had a big night with his Uncle Dana and Dana's girlfriend, Mary. Don and Meryl enjoyed a laid back, and leisurely morning, taking their time getting ready for the day. When Henry woke up, they enjoyed a nice home-cooked family breakfast together. Don had to laugh at how it seemed like his wife was stuffing him and Henry full of non-processed, all organic, food knowing that would not be on the table at his mother and father-in-law's house. Once everyone was ready for the day, they loaded up their car and headed up to Connecticut. Don and Meryl greatly enjoyed the trip, holding each other's hands whenever they could, and singing Christmas carols with Henry and laughing. As they rode along, Meryl stroked her husband's fingers that were laced through hers and couldn't help but think about the Christmas present she was planning on giving Don. She had hoped she would be able to give him a positive pregnancy test, but that wasn't in the cards, though she kept reminding herself of how Don kept telling her that the universe was just waiting for the perfect time to give them the baby they were meant to have. She didn't want to focus on what they didn't have; rather, she wanted to focus on everything that they did have and she hoped that's what her Christmas present to him would symbolize. As they drove along, she couldn't help but think about all the obstacles they had faced over the past year, and how she was more thankful than ever to have her husband and son. She knew that after the year they had just come through, that they could get through anything as long as they were together.

"Baby." Don whispered with a kiss to Meryl's head as it was resting on his right arm while he drove. "We're here."

Meryl smiled at her husband as she lifted her head and ran her fingers through her hair. She was a little surprised that she fell asleep, but realized she must have fallen asleep after Henry did once they left the restaurant in Stamford where they ate lunch. "I fell asleep? I'm sorry, Don Man."

"I liked listening to you and Henry snore." Don winked as his wife playfully swatted his chest. "It is all cold and white just as you like your Christmases to be."

Meryl moistened her lips with her tongue before tenderly kissing his lips. "So do you. I am so excited to get this holiday started."

"Me too, beautiful." Don said unhooking his seatbelt and then looking into the backseat. "He's still asleep. Should we let him sleep?"

Meryl shook her head. "I'm sure he would wake up anyways when we carry him inside."

"He gets cranky when we wake him up, just like his mother." Don said as he smacked Meryl on the ass once she knelt in her seat and bent over to wake Henry up. "You do it."

"As long as you keep doing that." Meryl flirted with her husband and then turned her attention to their son. "Gippy, sweetie, it's time to wake up. We're at Grandpa and Grandma Streep's house. It's time to start our Christmas."

Henry stretched and rubbed his eyes. "Thanta?"

"No Santa yet, Bubs." Don smiled as he got out and picked Henry up from his car seat. "But we are going to make cookies and have dinner tonight here at Grandma and Grandpa's."

Meryl threw Henry's blanket over him and rubbed his back. "Then when you wake up tomorrow morning, Santa will have come visit."

"Tay, Mama." Henry arched back for the car. "Cowt? Me unt Cowt."

Don looked at Meryl as they continued to make their way inside the house. "Babe, I didn't see Colt in there when I got him out of the seat."

"I know I packed him." Meryl said strongly, deep down hoping she really did. "I will look for it later."
