Chapter 4: House Party

The week flies by as Elias road up to the house party he was not invited to. A rich kid that he does not know was having this rager while his parents are out of town, leaving nearly the whole school to come and destroy the place. His nerves were getting the better of him as he made eye contact with a stranger.

 Noticing that the rich kid was guarding the door, Elias decides to find another way inside knowing damn well that he would never let him in. Elias leaves his bike on the other side of the fence, in the neighbor's yard. He climbs the tree rather clumsily till he makes it to a window. Sliding open the window he pulls himself inside. Elias pops up his hood and walks downstairs inconspicuously. Meanwhile, Aubrey is on the couch chatting with her friends. They were all drinking, except for her. 

"You wanna go get a drink, Aubrey? I think they have a punch bowl in the kitchen if you don't want a beer" Wilby said wrapping one arm around her shoulders, the other pointing to the kitchen. "O-ok" Aubrey quickly got off the couch, nervously, to avoid Wilby's touch as she scurries off to the kitchen.

 That's when Elias walks into the room but quickly hides behind a fern when he sees Aubrey. He watches as she pours herself a cup of punch. Elias kind of feels guilty he came to a party he wasn't invited to just to look after her. He knows he probably shouldn't be this protective but he just needs to make sure she'll be ok. "Hey, Aubrey!" Two of the jocks named Bentley and Corden walk up to both sides of her. Elias scowls from afar knowing these guys all too well and what they're capable of. 

"You should go in the hot tub, the temperature is going down, it makes the water extra steamy" Bentley said wrapping an arm around her. To avoid spilling Aubrey moves her cup away from her body by extending her arm towards Corden slightly. While her attention was towards thing-one, thing-two used this as an opportunity to slip a mysterious white tablet into her drink. Elias's eyes widen as she brings the cup towards her body as the jock let's go. "Your friends are gonna join you, it'll be fun, come on!" Corden said slipping the bag of pills in his pocket without anyone seeing, well, except for Elias that is. 

Aubrey started to bring the cup to her lips but then retracted her movement when a thought came to mind. Elias sighs in relief. "I didn't bring a swimsuit though." She asks innocently. The boys try to hold back their smirk. "Don't worry, no one did, everyone just swims in their underwear" Corden reassures her. Aubrey blushed thinking about possibly getting in a hot tub with her friends and strangers, half-naked.

 "Um... I don't know..." Aubrey trails off as she sees her group of friends head out to the back yard. "If you can't beat them join them" she mutters to herself walking not too far behind them. As Aubrey strips down with the others she can't help but feel self-conscious with everyone's eyes on her, especially Wilby's. They climb into the warm bubbling water as Aubrey sets her cup down at the ledge. Elias knew he had to get that cup away from her before she drinks it. He was pretending to be a ninja as he avoided any attention towards him. As they were all talking and crowding around one side of the hot tub, Elias found this as a blind spot to avoid being seen. He practically army crawls his way towards her cup and grabs it when Samantha turns around to see Elias slithering towards them like a snake.

 She screams, alerting everyone in the party. Everyone whips their head around to look at why she has screamed so girlishly. Elias jumps upward, trying to make a run for it but he bumps his head against the chest of Corden with Bentley standing right next to him. Elias kept trying to push past between the two but together they were like a brick wall. "You weren't even invited, pervert." Thing-one and thing-two grinned knowing full well what they did. "Pervert?" Aubrey furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "Wait, I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation" Aubrey tries to calm everyone down. 

"Give the lady her drink back, now." Corden said coldly while Bentley gave him a threatening glare. Aubrey reached outward reluctantly, thinking there must be something wrong with it. She had full intentions of dumping it out, knowing there must be a good reason why he tried to take it. "Wait! I think he put something in it! Make him drink it!" Wilby narrowed his eyes at Elias. "Prove to us you didn't put anything in it... drink it." "But I would never drug someone!" Elias yelled out, trying to defend himself.
