I don't really enjoy awkward car rides, yet here I am. Teeter tottering on whether or not to say anything about the whole Brandon situation, which I am in fact 100% certain Harry saw all of it. I'm also certain he's curious to ask but I get this weird feeling he knows more than I do...

Weird ....right.

Anyways I have no idea where he's taking me, we've been driving for 15 minutes maybe a little less. Feels way longer though because of this nagging feeling I have in my gut.

Brandon wanted to talk later, to clear things up. He said somethings and of course I'm worried. My minds is just running in circles, the possibilities are endless and I don't even want to begin listing them.

"We're here."

There's just so many, where would I even start. What could Sam or Brandon possibly be involved with tha-

"Elaine." Harry gently grabs my shoulder, startling me.

"Hmph" I jump, looking into his eyes.

"I said we're here, are you okay?" He asks inspecting my face... closely.

I politely shove his hand away and wave all these negative thoughts surrounding me with my hand "yeah, yeah." I smile at him "I'm fine".

He scrunches his eyebrows together before returning the smile and nodding. He leaps out of the car and runs to open the door for me. I beat him to it and he insists that I should have waited for him but I tell him it's really no big deal.

"So where exactly are we?" I hesitate looking around the surrounding tree and dirt.

"You'll see." He continues walking, towards nowhere knowing that I'll follow him. Which obviously I do. When a strange man, older than you, who you barley know, yet feel strangely connected to, lures you out in what seems like the middle of nowhere and doesn't explain anything to you. You have no choice but to follow him!

I'm kidding of course you have a choice.

But I'm choosing like every single other person who gets driven to nowhere by a sexy man would. I follow him.

I stay a few steps behind him in case I need to turn and run.

Kidding.

I'm still nervous and honestly I can't keep up with his long legs.

No one mentioned hiking. I was not prepared for this.

He suddenly stops and turns me as I catch up and I see it. "Wow" my breath gets caught. He brought me up to the top of a mountain, nothing to high, but high enough to have an amazing view of the city. Everything from up here seems so small and peaceful, all my trouble and thoughts are gone and all I can think about is how beautiful life is. How everything at times seems so crazy, panicked, and rushed. But not from up here. From up here, everything is so calm, and put together. From a far everything fits together perfectly as it should.

"It's beautiful."

"I know" he whispers, looking directly at me and never at the view.

I smile, dropping my head and tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. I feel the heat creeping up to my cheeks. Harry, Harry, Harry. I shake my head and cross my arms walking towards the edge of the cliff.

He shouldn't have this affect on me. It's wrong. I'm wrong.

I hear him slowly walk up behind me "everything alright?"

I turn to look up at him, giving him my best smile. "Of course it is."

"I thought you could use a bit of a new perspective, I know sometimes being down there, surrounded by all of that madness it could build up to be a bit much. But up here, far away, it just slows down, everything seems smaller and less difficult. Down there, things can get intese, it can become difficult to understand or even think about things clearly, but up here. Up here, you're momentarily free, you momentarily have a chance to breath, and truly think without any interruptions."

I just nod taking in everything he has just said I felt and understood exactly what he said and after a moment of silence I finally let it out. "It's just some friend stuff, you know your typical friend group drama. Nothing major or anything, we just decided we're going to talk about it later on tonight. So all issues should be resolved then, hopefully."

He smiles, satisfied with my answer and doesn't push further.

This was exactly what I needed a tiny little escape to get out of my head. "Thank you" I mumble into his chest as I place my arms around him. "I needed this."

"Anytime" he whispers into my hair, hugging me back.

"Come on." He says grabbing my hand, causing my stomach to do flips "let's get you back".

On the ride home Harry offers to buy me dinner multiple times but I refuse, I remind him that he's already done enough for me and that I have plenty of food at home that needs to be eaten. I would invite him in but then I remember that Brandon has asked to speak with me.

"Well Harry, once again thank you so very much for everything and I am so sorry for last night" I hide my face trying not to embarrass myself further. He lightly pinches my chin and lifts my head so my eyes meet his. "Elaine as always it was a pleasure. Never hesitate to contact me." He caresses my chin, then removes his hand and my body almost lunges at him from the loss of contact.

"I guess I'll see you then" I say slowly getting out of the car. I close the door and before I climb up the steps he calls my name.

"Yeah?" I saying looking down into his car as if I forgot something.

"Good luck with Brandon, I'm sure everything will turn out well."

"Thank you." I sigh, appreciating his concern.

Harry drives off and I make my way up the stairs. He's so kind to me I don't deserve, wait.

How did he?

I don't remember mentioning Brandon's name.
