Chapter 1: "It's A date!"

We made our way to the canteen. It felt a little awkward walking by ourselves. I thought about Aimi. 

'Didn't she kiss me before-'  I  thought before I was interrupted by Yui staring at me. Her face was at least 2 inches away from mine. We stood there before her face turned red and she spun around looking the other way.

"A-Are you okay?" She asked. I could tell she was embarrassed.

"Yeah. Sorry, I was just dozing off." I replied.

"Good...Now let's get going before the food is cold." She said as she turned around with a cute smirk.

I'm pretty sure she likes me. Right?

We were sitting at the table ,across from each other near the back entrance. It was far away from the crowd that was near the tables in the front. The lighting and mood was different back here. I turned to look at Yui and she was already looking at me. 

"Hey Nagaro. Do you have a close relationship with Aimi?" 

"She's my best friend. Of Course."  

Her face turned into A frown.

"No. Not like friendship... Like you know...Boyfriend and Girlfriend." 

I thought about this for a while until i came to a Conclusion. I didn't want to hurt her feelings.(Just in case she liked me.)

"She....is just my friend. I promise." I reassured her. Her mouth formed into a smile. She walked around the table and sat close to me.

"You know. I have admired you from afar. I've always liked you but you never noticed me. When I saw you in the school, I didn't want to startle you so i followed right behind you. Hirose was also there so I decided to go to my dads' army base." She explained as she laid her head on my shoulder. I was shocked and let it ride for a while.

She laid there for about 5 minutes until A guy walked up to her.

"Hey Yui. Why..Are you here with this puny Highschool boy?" He asked. I could tell he was drunk and his mind had be drowned. All of a sudden he grabbed her Arm, hard.

"Hey! Let go of me!" Yui yelled. 

"Why? When you could you could date a guy like me?" He said trying to kiss her without his consent.

I jumped up quickly. My fists started to burn. The Canteen was silent. The guy finally let go of Yui and she ran over to me. She put her arms around my waist and hugged me.

"Oh? You're running back to your boyfriend? He can't do anything!" He Exclaimed.

Yui looked at me with approval to apprehend him. I nodded back. I let her stand behind me. I pulled up my sleeves and put up my fists.

"I will do something about it." I said. He lunged at me and I twisted his arm, Pulled it back and pushed him, Face first, into the ground with his arm behind his back.

The canteen laughed at the guy. I never thought I could do this since I only seen this move in a movie once. The guy stopped moving and I got up. The Upper Class men apologised for his actions and took him to the infirmary to fix his broken nose. Yui, who was clapping, jumped on my back.

"Thank you, Nagaro!" She Thanked. 

I was glad to help a friend. She turned me around and put her hand over my eyes. 

"Now I have a gift for you."

I could feel the warmth of her face near mine. Her lips collided with mine and we kissed. I could hear the Guys cheering and the girls laughing. I don't know if Yui saw but I was embarrassed. She removed her hand and her face was flushed.

'Now I'm definitely sure she likes me.' I thought.
