"Easily distracted, is she?" Davion asked Raquel.
Raquel mostly ignored him, as Davian had said before she wasn't much on people like them. They did nothing to help the mud lands or it's people and if anything they made it worse.
Raquel clutches her hood.
"Don't hold the hood you look suspicious." Davian warned her.
She didn't ignore him for once but kept her hands raised should she need to quickly pull it further down.
Davian was waved to by several people, the ones that didn't look angry, scheming or panicked.
Everyone was in a hurry and there wasn't much room on the streets, Wanda was bumped into many times without so much as a glance.
Being to used to royal life, Wanda was appalled by the lack of manners. Maybe that's what Chrysta thought of her, she wondered.
A particularly large man sent her to the ground.
She rubbed her back and he looked down at her, glaring.
He had the audacity to glare at her after he sent her to the ground.
Wanda angrily got to her feet but Raquel pulled her by the hand away from him.
"Women don't speak up to the men." She whispered.
"I know we're supposed to pretend to be weaker but you can't let them push you around." Wanda insisted in a hushed tone.
Davian watched them argue.
"I guess I should thank Geo I was born a man." He said with a teasing grin.
"Don't you start you little brat-" Raquel began but stopped. Her accent was recognizable and she didn't need any attention drawn to her.
She huffed and glared daggers at him, he could tell and just laughed.
He wasn't being genuinely mean, and he wasn't genuinely making fun of them, at least Wanda thought so, but he was a bit of a brat.
Wanda hadn't heard the word brat uses more than once or twice in her life.
Coming to a village like this was eye opening and maybe that's why Enid did it. She didn't really want Wanda to risk anything for adventure she wanted Wanda to know the people she was meant to care for.
That seemed pointless however, as soon Wanda would be in another kingdom, who knows how far away. Surely Chrysta would help them though, it was in her nature.
Raquel dragged Wanda behind her as she became overwhelmed with thing to see.
"Let's stick with Davian." She suggested.
"I thought you didn't like him."
"I don't really like either of you much, but we are two young women in a man's world in a crowded somewhat hostile village market." She whispered loudly.
They caught up to Davian, his presence seemed to make a path clear for him naturally. Maybe he was well known, he had been waved to after all.
Raquel noticed a sheet of metal slide off Davian's cart and stopped to pick it up for him. She didn't like him but she wasn't rude.
The butcher by the stand she stood in front of saw her dark toned hands immediately and began to shout at her.
"You tribal thief!"
Wanda and Davian whipped their heads around.
Davian left the cart immediately and ran to stand in front of Raquel before than man could grab her.
