SHAWN and Cory were nowhere to be found. It was lunchtime and almost every seat was now taken. Even mine, Shawn, and Cory's table was taken. Eventually, I found a seat, but I knew no one at the table.

I sat and waited for Shawn and Cory to walk through the doors. All of sudden, a girl, seemingly friends of the others at the table, came up to me.

"You're in my seat," she said.

"Sorry. All of the other seats were taken," I replied politely.

"Yeah, and this one you're sitting in is taken by me. Get up," the girl told me.

"No. You should've gotten here quicker."

"It's my seat. Girl, get up," she said raising her voice and becoming frustrated.

"I don't see a name anywhere. You guys see a name?" I asked the girls at the table.

They all shook their heads and laughed.

Suddenly, the girl yanks me out of the seat and begins punching me. I tried to look around for help, but I saw no one.

SHAWN'S POV

Cory and I began to walk to the cafeteria. We were late because Mr. Feeny decided that he needed to have a long talk with us like we're gonna listen.

"Hey, Shawn, you hear that?" Cory asked.

"Yeah. Why is everybody yelling?" I asked.

As we got closer to the cafeteria, we saw Topanga running out of the cafeteria.

"Hey! Topanga wait. What's going on?" Cory asked her.

"You know that girl that failed like 3 times? She's beating up y/n! I gotta go get help, bye!" Topanga rushed away.

Cory and I began to run to the cafeteria. We pushed through the crowd and got between the girls.

"What is wrong with you? Keep your hands off her!" Cory yelled.

"And what are you gonna do about it?" the girl, Alyssa, yelled back.

"I'm going to retaliate," Cory says backing up and going to get his brother, Eric. If Cory only knows one thing, it's that Alyssa can't resist 'older' boys.

But that didn't matter. All that mattered was y/n.
"Are you okay? What happened? Did she hurt you?" I asked y/n worriedly.

"I'm fine. It's probably just a bruise," she said as she stood up without ease.

"Come on. Let's go in the hallway," I said as I wrapped my arm around her, helping her.

When we reached the hallway, we sat down and saw Cory and Eric running towards the cafeteria.

"Are you Cory's friend?" Eric asked y/n as he paused in his tracks.

"Yes, she is, doofus. Why are you stopping? That idiot, Alyssa, just hurt her! Go!" I told him, not caring that that idiot was a girl significantly smaller than him, despite the fact that she's supposed to be in the same grade as him.

"Oh, I'm gonna kill that idiot [Alyssa]," Eric muttered under his breath as he ran off with Cory.

"Y/n are you really okay?"

"I don't know, Shawn. My whole body hurts. I feel like crap," she said looking down.

"Well, tell me what's wrong. What's bothering you?"

"That girl, whatever she did to me, lady issues, my mom, that I don't know what I want to do with my life, that I haven't dated anyone, and that you and Cory weren't there... That's what's bothering me," y/n told me.

"I'm sorry we weren't there. Mr. Feeny wanted to talk to us-"

"Shut up. It's fine. It wasn't your fault," She cut me off.

"Yes, it was. If we weren't joking off in class, we could've been there and Mr. Feeny wouldn't need to talk to us. I'm s-"

"Shut up. Thanks for apologizing."

"Now talk to me about your problems. Not the lady thing though. I can't help with that," I told her, knowing she was talking about that dot thing.

"My mom, she makes me mad. She's always complaining about me and calling me stupid and retarded. She won't clean up after herself. She always makes me clean up the whole downstairs everyday and then wants me to babysit my sister until she wakes up from her 12 hour nap. She always expects me to be happy to do anything for her. Especially when she asks me to do 8 different things at the same time. And what really makes me mad is when she asks me if I want to do something, but then just makes me do it. Then, she gets mad if I don't do it and says I'm an embarrassment and threatens to beat me. I can't do this anymore," y/n let out crying.

Somewhere along her story, Mr. Feeny passed and angrily took Alyssa to the office.

I grabbed y/n and hugged her tight as she hugged back and cried harder. I kept holding her, because it felt right, but neither of us said anything.

Mr. Feeny came by again and approached us. "Ms. l/n, I sincerely apologize for Ms. Kin's actions. You are excused from your next classes if you choose to be so. Mr. Hunter, I'm assuming Ms. l/n would like some company, so you may be her escort, and here are your passes. I've already informed your 6th and 7th period teachers."

"Thank you, Mr. Feeny."

"You're welcome, Mr Hunter, Ms. l/n."

Mr. Feeny then left us in the hallway.

"Shawn?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you for being here with me. You know you don't have to."

"I want to. It's no problem. Now, tell me anything."

"Umm... I haven't dated anyone before. I feel so behind. Everyone I've ever met has already been in at least one relationship. It's so weird," she told me.

"Well, I'm gonna get you a boyfriend, if that's what you want," I told her reluctantly, not knowing why.

"Oh my gosh. Thank you," she said as she hugged me again.

This time, my arms never lifted from around her. I wasn't ready to let go.

omg I just realized that out of every story I've written, somehow, I mentioned 'lady issues' in every single one.
