They were in Renjun's room, huddled together in their tight-knit group. Jeno was practically in Jaemin's lap, and Renjun sat next to them. Jisung was lying down and Renjun played with his hair.
"So I was running," Jaemin said in between laughs. "And this monstrous senior comes crashing down the hall behind me." He was giggling so much that he could barely get a word out. "And he's angry, because-"
"Because apparently the fact that Jaemin is high-fiving this guy's girlfriend means he's hitting on her," Jeno filled in as Jaemin howled with laughter behind him. He turned back to look at his boyfriend. "I really don't know why he thinks it's funny," he said as he looked back to Renjun. "He was terrified."
"I- was- not!" Jaemin said as he laughed.
"Oh, yes, you were," Jeno told him. To Renjun, he said, "trust me, he was terrified. Anyways, Mark shows up, and very conveniently, he had brought Jaehyun to visit that day."
Jisung, whose anger had begun to dissipate, widened his eyes. "Oh, no."
"Oh, yes," Jeno grinned.
"That poor guy," remarked Renjun. "He had no clue what was coming, did he?"
"Nope," Jaemin sang. "And I'll leave you to imagine all the bruises he had after that momentous occasion."
Renjun watched Jeno and Jaemin's eyes sparkle at each other as they told the story.
