“Are you sure?” Crowley asked a little nervously, not particularly wanting his first customer to be one purely buying his product out of pity. “They’re four to six pounds each depending how big they are,” He said, stepping over to the plants. “And they need at least six hours of sunlight a day.” He added as he gently ran the back of his finger over his snake’s head. “An east or south facing window would do if you’ve got one.” The tall man watched the blonde closely, biting his lips ever so slightly. He hoped it didn’t come off that he was trying to deter him.

Aziraphale grinned from ear to ear.
"Of course! I love plants, they're such a beautiful addition to the world. Truly magnificent."
He says, caressing the sunflower leafs.
"I've got and east facing one upstairs. It would look beautiful in my living room."
He says, leaning in to sniff the flower.

Crowley watched the man with a soft smile, still stroking his snake’s head. “Well pick whichever one you’d like and I’ll ring it up for you. Hell, maybe I’ll even give you a discount since you brought me such a nice present.” He said with a chuckle, making his way back to the counter and hopping back over it.

Aziraphale smiled up at him and smelled each sunflower, picking a rather small one.
"I wish I could take you all but I only have room for one."
He gave each sunflower a loving stroke, causing the plants to perk up a bit.
He made his way to the counter and pulled out his wallet.
"How much for this little guy, then?"
He asks, looking at the red head with bright blue eyes.

“Three quid.” Crowley said, carefully setting his snake back into his habitat before grabbing his notepad and writing down the details of the purchase. “Do you want a receipt?” He asked, bringing his his honey coloured eyes back up from his notes and across to the man in front of him. The taller man had faint freckles peppered all over his angular features as well as his exposed arms.

Aziraphale nodded his head, digging up the required money for his sunflower.
"Yes please, a receipt would be nice."
He smiled, looking over the male and taking in the details.
The freckles were a cute little addition that god had given this man.
Made him look a little softer. The hair as well.
"My name is Aziraphale, by the way.
Christian family."
He explains before the other can ask.

“Im with you. My middle name is Jophiel but I tend to just use a J.” He replied, writing out the blonde’s receipt in rather sloppy writing before retrieving a lockbox from under the table and carefully unlocking it. “M’ first name is Anthony. Anthony J. Crowley is the full name I go by though.” He tried his best to keep from rambling, not wanting to put off the other man. “Haven’t gotten a chance to get a register yet. Sorry about my hand writing.” He mumbled, ripping off the handwritten receipt before handing it over.

Aziraphale watched him write, stifling a giggle as the other male rambled a bit.
"Its not a problem, dear. I dont mind in the least bit."
He grinned, taking the small paper from his hand.
"Pleasure to formally meet you, Mister Anthony J. Crowley."
He gives a small bow, picking up his flower.

“Pleasure to meet you too, Aziraphale.. Fell?” He replied with a faint level of uncertainty. He didn’t want to assume, but the male hadn’t exactly told him what his last name was. A question was nagging at him, but he was too nervous to ask it in fear of rushing things a bit.

Aziraphale giggled and nodded his head.
"Yes, yes. Apologies. Aziraphale Fell is correct. Aziraphale Yael Fell."
He says, holding his hand out for the other to shake.

“What’s Yael?” He asked with furrowed brows as he took Aziraphale’s hand in his own. “I’ve never heard it before. It’s interesting.” He added, his ‘s’s being drawn out once more as he spoke. He reached up to tuck his hair behind his ear once more, revealing the tattoo of a snake placed in front of his ear.

Aziraphale shook his hand gently, placing the flower back on the table top and returning his hand behind his back once finished.
"Its an angelic name, meaning something along the lines of 'Ascending'."
He explains, watching the male perform the action of tucking his hair.
He noticed the tattoo and smiled a bit.
"That must have hurt."
He says, pointing to it.

“I passed out during it so it wasn’t too bad from that point onward.” He admitted with a sheepish grin, rubbing his fingers over the tattoo. “I don’t regret it though. Money well spent.” He chuckled softly, leaning forward against the counter as he watched the shorter man with a soft gaze.

Aziraphale let out a giggle, looking closely at the tattoo.
"So I can see you like snakes-"
He was cut off as the sound of the stores door opening was clearly heard, the blonde turning his head with a smile as he thought it was another customer.

A tall man with dark hair and blue eyes walked in, his outfit fairly fancy. The blue matched well with his eyes.
"Aziraphale, there you are buddy! I went by your shop but you weren't there. I walked by and saw you in here. Who's this?"
He asks with a glare directed at the red head.

Aziraphale, oblivious to the glare, kept his wide smile on.
"Gabriel! What a pleasant surprise. This is my new shop neighbor, Anthony J. Crowley. He's quite a nice fellow. Anthony, this is my good friend Gabriel."

“They’re quite misunderstood creatures.” He replied with a smile before turning his attention to the door as well. The redhead watched the two rather closely, eyeing the other with a faint suspicion. “Sorry, but we’re not exactly open yet.” He said to the other man, his smile having quickly disappeared. The dark haired man’s glare felt like it was burning into his skin.

Gabriel kept his glare, placing a hand on Aziraphales shoulder.
"That's alright. I'll be taking him now."
He said in a rather deep voice, a bit of possessiveness hinting in his tone.

Aziraphale looked between the two, noticing a slight shift in attitude.
He brushed it off, smiling at Crowley.
"Well then, dear, I'll be off. It was splendid meeting you!"
He says, picking up the sunflower and pocketing the receipt.

Gabriel gave aziraphale a smile as they began to head out, turning back to give the red head a final death glare before he and Aziraphale were out of site.

Crowley crossed his arms, watching the man with narrowed eyes as he leaned against the counter. Once the two had left, he allowed himself to sink onto the floor of the counter and let out a groan, tossing his head back against the shelves. “Didn’t even get to ask him out for coffee..” he mumbled, running a hand over his face as he stared up at the ceiling of his shop.
